Benefits of going into an alpha brainwave state

Q: In your meditations, P’taah, you count us down into an alpha state, can you please describe the benefit of going into that dreamy, relaxed sort of state?
P’taah: It allow you to have experiences beyond your beta brainwave. It allow you to travel, it allow you to be able to absorb information, it allow you access to, in a way, other reality.
The beta state of the brain is your day to day, awake, physical life. You get up, you shower, you dress, you go to work – whatever that is, you have your luncheon, you listen to some music, you have a glass of wine, you have laughter with friends, you tell stories. This is your day to day life, and when you are in your day to day life your brainwaves are beta brainwaves, eh?
When you are in an alpha state, that is the very relaxed state where you are receptive, where you travel, often for instance astral travelling – you are in alpha state. When you go through the crystalline portal you are in alpha state. When you are in your Room and you invite visitors, you are in alpha state. The brain is very receptive, you are open to hypnosis in that state.
So it is just the next level beyond your normal waking state. You accomplish much in the alpha state.
Q: So is it a more expanded state of consciousness?
P’taah: Yes.
Q: Ok, because in the beta we’re extremely focused, like a laser beam, on the physical reality here?
P’taah: Absolutely, yes.
Q: I know even just closing your eyes starts to produce alpha waves in the brain, is that starting to turn away from physical sense?
P’taah: When you are awake and you decide to go into alpha state, if you keep your head as if you were looking straight ahead, keep your head still, and then cast up your eyes to ceiling, or as high as you can go, then automatically you begin to fall into alpha state.
And the only reason that we do count down the elevator, etcetera, when we take you into meditation is just to give you that time to relax, to relax, to relax to relax, until you are in the alpha state. But you can also do it much quicker, if you are ready to go into that state, by just casting the eyes up until the eyes become heavy. Close the eyes and off you go.
