A Super Full Moon in Aquarius 2024

A Super Full Moon in Aquarius 2024

Astrology By Lauren

Posted on August 17, 2024

We have 4 Super Full Moons this year (one of them is also an eclipse). The Aquarius Full Moon on August 19th will be the first of these. Super Moons are a little bit brighter and can even appear to be larger than usual, especially as the Sun and Moon are rising and setting. These super moons are magnificent, and powerful. Creators of the King Tides, they have influence over the affairs of the earth as well as mankind. The closest of the Super Full Moons, will be the October Moon, but this Moon on August 19th is powerful in its own right.

Full Moons can be revelatory, they disclose things and bring things to a head. This is when we experience the consequences and rewards of previous actions and decisions. This Moon in Aquarius is also exactly square unpredictable and revolutionary Uranus, one of the ruling planets of Aquarius, further propelling us on to the Aquarian wave of change. With Uranus in the wings, at cross-quarters with the Sun and the Moon, it could feel like we are standing on a precipice somewhere between the past and the future. And there is no turning back.

Not all changes are welcome. But with such a strong Aquarian and Uranian message we are being asked to ride the wave of change in order to align ourselves with intentions that were being seeded in years way back. This sort of change can be swift, unexpected, and can even feel like our lives are being upended and overturned in the process. But know that even when it can feel like chaos, the ultimate goals lean towards the Aquarius ideals being seeded, first with the Great Conjunction between Jupiter and Saturn at 0º of Aquarius in 2020, and the the ingress of Pluto into Aquarius.

We could expect a few more twists and turns in the process. Not only are the Moon and the Sun square Uranus on Monday, but so is Mercury square Uranus as well. The Full Moon coincides with the inferior conjunction of Mercury to the Sun, which occurs in the middle of the retrograde phase, and commences a new Mercury cycle that lasts until December 5th. Consumed within the Sun’s rays, and invisible to the eye, ideas, like ripening seeds, are being planted in the fertile potential of the Mercury conjunction, beginning a whole new trend in thought and awareness. The Full Moon is only making it that much stronger in its effects.

And as Mercury makes its conjunction to the Sun it is also making the 2nd of its 3 squares to Uranus. The first occurred at the previous Full Moon on July 21st. This was when President Biden withdrew his candidacy for the next presidential election, seamlessly handing it over to Vice President Harris. Mercury/Uranus weather is unpredictable, surprising, and riddled with all sorts of extraordinary twists and turns. Interestingly, the 2nd square, and the Full Moon on Monday, coincides with the Democratic National Convention in which VP Harris’s candidacy will be formally confirmed.

For those who might be interested, the Full Moon at 27º of Aquarius on the day of this convention, is exactly conjunct Harris’s natal Saturn (positions of responsibility and authority), and the Moon of the United States Sibley chart. The Moon represents the people in a national chart. It also represents Women.

In our own lives, we should also be prepared for sudden twists and turns, no matter where you are. Plans can change. Circumstances change. And it would not be surprising if you find yourself at a juncture in which you are adjusting to sudden recent changes, are becoming aware of changes that are being made, or are preparing for changes that are going to occur in the future.

On the same day as the Full Moon, Jupiter and Saturn perfect the first of 3 squares. This is important for so many reasons. For this is the first test to the Great Conjunction of 2020, when Jupiter and Saturn were exactly conjunct at 0º of Aquarius. Whatever seeds were being sown with the Great Conjunction, whatever new paradigms were needing to be initiated, the first open square is a time of opposing factions trying to achieve some sort of balance. At first it will present as conflict:

Conflict between the expansive nature of Jupiter to have the freedom to grow beyond its previous limits; vs. the consolidating and limiting nature of Saturn which aims to protect, and conserve. In many ways this is a transit of contradiction. Jupiter in Gemini says yes to everything, and Saturn in Pisces tells us that this is impossible. And yet out of this conflict a plan is gradually going to come together, honed with time, compromise and resolution.

In our own lives we may find ourselves waffling back and forth and feeling indecisive about certain outcomes. Perhaps in some ways you are feeling stuck, but are taunted by the possibilities of a New Vision for the future that the Jupiter/Uranus conjunction was trying to seed way back in April. Jupiter/Uranus was trying to inspire us with a vision. The Jupiter/Saturn squares can show us the obstacles that are needing to be overcome in order to make that vision a closer and more achievable reality.

There are 3 of these squares. This one on August 19th, another when Jupiter is retrograde on December 24th, and the last will be in June 2025, when Jupiter is in Cancer and Saturn in Aries. This represents a period of crisis and transition filled with restlessness and inner conflict. We know some sort of change is well nigh due, but making that a closer reality will require some major shifting around in order to make that so.

Last week Mars conjunct Jupiter was activating the Jupiter/Saturn square. This week Venus in Virgo comes into the picture, forming a pretty significant t-square in the mutable signs of Virgo (Venus), Gemini (Jupiter) and Pisces (Saturn). Once again (!), coincidentally (or not) Venus will be exactly conjunct VP Harris’s natal Venus, activating a revolutionary Venus/Uranus/Pluto conjunction in her natal chart. This is the sort of conjunction that breaks glass ceilings, changes paradigms, and can even revolutionize the roles of women in society. Vice President Harris has a lot weighing on her shoulders this week! And we’re all going along for the ride in our own lives as well.

Full Moons are magical. Each month the Sun, the Earth and the Moon come into alignment, bringing all of our hopes, dreams, fears and emotions to the foreground. This allows us to connect with what has been laying in potential within our own hearts and minds.

On the night before the Full Moon in Aquarius on Monday, August 19th (2:25 pm Eastern
Daylight Time; 11:25 am Pacific Time; and 7:25 pm British time) ask yourself:

  • What changes are you needing or wanting to make in your life that can open you up to ever greater possibilities? And perhaps even the fulfillment of your dreams?

  • What has been the impact of any sudden changes that have recently occurred in your life?

  • What have you been avoiding, and in what ways are you limiting yourself, or holding yourself back out of fear and procrastination?

  • What are those things that are standing in the way of you being able to grow in the ways that you might not have previously thought possible?

  • What new perspectives or ideas might you want to give greater consideration to? And in what new direction might you want to go?

  • If you have come up against a brick wall, are you willing to consider alternatives? And if so, what might they be?

  • What would it require for you to be true to your convictions, beliefs and ideals? What would it take to walk the walk, as well as talk the talk?

Full Moon Update 8/30/2023

Full Moon Update 8/30/2023

By Lena Stevens

Posted on August 30, 2023

Dear Friends,

Full Moon in Pisces is Wednesday, August 30 at 7:35PM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT)

This is the second full moon within the same month and is known as a Blue Moon. It is also a Super Moon so it warrants paying attention to. This is a powerful window of closure, release and moving into an empty space, waiting to be filled with something new. The time requires patience as that something new may not yet be clear or ready to manifest.

We are moving into a time of recapitulation of the past and an inner process where we reflect on where we have been and where we are going.  Looking over the past can bring up nostalgia and heartfelt gratitude as well as trigger uncomfortable feelings around events and experiences we would rather forget. It is all up for review as we move into the month of September. The Full Moon energies can jump start this process for us by inviting us to allow more space for just “being” instead of the “doing” that many of us spend way too much time in.

This is also an excellent time to listen to your inner voice, trust your intuition, notice your dreams and acknowledge signs from spirit. Allow the notion of right timing to be your guide and practice patience especially if the path forward is not yet clear. The set up is in the release, so what needs to go?

Blessings,
Lena

Pisces Full Blue Super Moon

Pisces Full Blue Super Moon

Intuitive Astrology

By Tanaaz

Posted on August 19, 2023

On August 30, 2023, we have a Super Full Moon in the sign of Pisces. As this is the second Full Moon of the month, it is also referred to as a Blue Moon.

Blue Moons are ultra rare, happening once every 2.5 years or so, making their presence something we want to pay attention to.

Having two Full Moons in one calendar month indicates a big surge of release energy. Something may exit our lives, like a relationship, job, a trauma, or even psychic energies that are not ours to carry.

Whatever is up for release under this special Blue Moon, chances are we will feel changed. Chances are we will be left with some new space to fill in our lives. While this space may feel unsettling at first, it holds the promise and potential of something new sprouting from its emptiness.

The cosmic weathers show us however, that we will have to be extra patient for this new sprouting to begin, as there will be a strong wave of retrograde energy flowing in.

The Pisces Blue Moon and Six Retrogrades

Retrogrades occur when a planet appears to be moving backward from our vantage point here on Earth. Under the Pisces Blue Moon, we will have Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto all in retrograde.

While it is not uncommon to have a few planets in retrograde at one time, having six is definitely a rare treat! Plus, both Mercury and Venus retrograde together can be an intense combination.

Retrograde energy tends to get us looking back over the past. It is a time for reflection, rather than moving ahead. On the outside, strong retrograde energy can create delays, miscommunications, mishaps, and make us feel a little uncertain. We can feel like we are moving in circles or unsure of ourselves and what is next.

While our outside world can be muddied by the sheer amount of retrograde energy, our inner world can be our sanctuary. In fact, during strong retrograde energy like this, our inner world can become our compass.

Society doesn’t really prioritize making time for stillness, being patient, and being in a state of non-action, but this strong retrograde energy from the Universe beckons us to adopt some of these states.

This strong retrograde energy calls for us to go within, to connect with our inner world, and to recognize that there is a wealth of wisdom that lives within us.

Spending time journaling, meditating, and walking through nature are all fantastic ways to calm the mind and enter the heart of the body. As Pisces rules over the feet, walking meditations can also be a fantastic way to harness this energy. Strong retrograde energy can also sharpen our intuition and psychic senses, so working with these innate gifts can come naturally.

The energy is on offer to us, but we have to be the ones to make the choice to use it. We have to be the ones to take the step to find the stillness and trust that our patience will eventually lead us to the right next step.

The Pisces Full Moon will be aiding us to take this journey. It holds soft, sensitive vibrations that will allow us to journey within and really listen to our inner voice. Our dreams may become more prophetic, or we may notice the Universe sending us clearer signs. We may even receive visits from our loved ones passed or our angels.

There is a magic in the air under this Blue Pisces Moon, so stay open to what it offers you, even if you are moving through a cleansing or releasing of sorts.

The Pisces Blue Moon Cleanses the Aura

The Pisces Blue Moon is a wonderful time to cleanse our energetic body and to clear any heaviness from our auric field that is not ours to carry.

It is possible for us to pick up psychic muck and debris from the world around us, and this Full Moon would be a powerful time to spend tending to our auric fields.

When it comes to energy cleansing, our intention is everything. You don’t need fancy tools, you just need the intention. Creating a ritual can help to solidify this intention, so try these aura-cleansing tips here, or simply work with your own intuition.

As this is the second Full Moon of the month, our attention may turn back to the first Full Moon of the month. This was on August 1st, in the sign of Aquarius. If you think back to this Full Moon, you may find events from this time will come back around under this Pisces Full Moon.

Both of the Full Moons this month have also been Super Moons, which means they are close to Earth and their presence will be felt nice and strong.

If you had something significant happening for you in early August, you might find that this second Full Moon of the month brings a greater closure or perhaps more illumination to help light your way.

The Pisces Blue Moon and Venus Direct

A few days after the peak of this Blue Moon, Venus stations direct after being retrograde since mid-July. Venus Retrograde is a powerful energy we have been working with and can trigger issues around our relationships, money, self-worth, and values.

If these themes have been prevalent in your life since July, this Full Moon may help things to reach their climax point so they can finally be resolved and completed by the time Venus stations direct on September 3-4.

It is likely with the clearing energy of this Full Moon, that a relationship or money issue could be cleared for us. We may find a relationship needs to fall away in order to create more peace and balance in our lives.

At its core, Venus Retrograde creates a path towards greater love, so whatever transpires, keep this close to your heart. Know that showing love sometimes comes in the form of saying yes, but other times, in the form of saying no.

The Blue Moon and Saturn in Pisces Together

Saturn, which is also in retrograde in Pisces, is very active under the Pisces Full Moon too. Saturn first went retrograde back in June, so issues from this time may also find a way to creep back around under the Blue Moon.

As you can see, there is a lot of energy circling, so it may be hard to know what is what! But whenever Saturn is involved, our task is to look to responsibility. Saturn wants us to step up and take responsibility for our lives and whatever is troubling us.

It doesn’t want to blame us, but it wants us to be accountable for all that is going on. There is no room for playing the victim when Saturn is involved. Saturn wants us to accept what is and to get on with creating a solution by taking responsibility.

Saturn is also the master of creating boundaries, so chances are there may be some boundaries we need to set under this Full Moon. These boundaries may very well be connected to the release work we are doing from the Full Moon and the relationship or money work we are doing from the Venus Retrograde.

We are likely to find that all three of these energies converge, creating a bit of a foggy mess for us to wade through!

The Pisces Blue Moon Brings Soul Transformation

One thing that is always worthwhile remembering is that a Pisces Full Moon helps us to get in touch with our emotions and our sensitivities. It gives us the freedom to express, and to channel that expression into something bigger than just ourselves.

While that may feel all too tricky to wrap our heads around while we are in the midst of these energies, this Full Moon offers us the opportunity to get in touch with our true selves, clear away all that is no longer serving, and create space for something more aligned.

The path to get there may feel a little tumultuous and rocky; we may feel like we are being challenged by the Universe on so many levels. But, as the energies settle, as we catch our breath with it all, we will recognize the transformation.

There is soul transformation underway with this Blue Moon, on both a personal and collective level. We are moving through some important times and some extraordinary energetic frequencies.

We are paving the way to a higher way of living, one step, or rather, one Full Moon at a time.

Forecast August 2023

Forecast August 2023

Intuitive Astrology

By Tanaaz

Posted on August 1, 2023

August 2023 starts and ends with a Full Moon. On August 1st, we have the Aquarius Super Full Moon, and on August 30th, we have the Pisces Super Blue Full Moon.

Having two Full Moons in the same calendar month means August will be a time for releasing, clearing, and letting go. All that is no longer resonant with our being will be up for release, and once we reach the month’s end, we will likely find ourselves wading through some empty spaces.

From August 23rd, both Venus and Mercury will be in retrograde. In fact, we will have a total of six major cosmic players in retrograde throughout August, with Venus and Mercury being the strongest.

All of this retrograde energy could create a sluggish feeling. We may feel like we are moving in circles, or perhaps having to go back over things we thought we had already dealt with. Our patience may be wearing thin, but there will not be a lot we can do to make things move any faster.

When we have a large amount of retrograde energy coursing through the cosmic skies, it is almost in our best interest to move slowly and with deliberate intention.

Don’t be in a rush to finalize things this month. Instead, go with the pace of how the Universe wants you to flow. If you keep hitting brick walls, you don’t have to push through, instead, you can take a few steps back, admire the view, sit in anything that is uncomfortable, and then wait for the right next action to find you. This passive state is not powerless, in fact, it is highly empowering, and this is even doubly so when retrograde energies are flowing.

August 2023 also brings some power days where we are likely to feel energized and uplifted. The Lionsgate 88 Portal on August 8, the Venus Star Point on August 13, plus the meeting of the Sun and Regulus on August 21-23, are three power times in the month where we can harness some high vibrational energy. These are also days we can connect with some lightness and ease and perhaps feel some respite from the heaviness of the retrogrades.

Let’s take a closer look into some of the main astrological events of the month and how you can work with the energies-

August 1: Aquarius Super Full Moon

The month begins with a healing Full Moon. While the energies of the month hold some intensity, this Full Moon feels to be a gentle, guiding force, taking our hand and revealing to us all that is just no longer a fit for our highest well-being. Soak up the healing energy that is circulating and channel it into your being, especially if you are feeling dysregulated or are called to let go of something meaningful. Aquarius is an air sign, which means we may feel a lot of energy and emotions centered around our heads. It will be important to avoid the mental clutter and instead, bring ourselves into a state of balance. As this is one of two Full Moons for the month, whatever is stirred under this Full Moon may only be part of the story, more of the story is likely to be revealed at the end of the month under the Blue Moon. You can get your full forecast for the Aquarius Full Moon here.

August 4- Mercury enters Shadow Phase

Mercury will begin slowing down in preparation for its retrograde later in the month. Mercury is the planet of communication, and when it enters retrograde, it tends to reveal where we haven’t been truly listening. During the shadow phase, we can start to get little clues as to what we have been ignoring, putting off, or refusing to pay attention to.

August 8: Lionsgate 88 Portal

The Lionsgate Portal honors the rising of Sirius, our Spiritual Sun. As Sirius rises, it is reborn, and we too, can feel the rebirth of our own Spirit energy. This rebirth of our Spirit energy is enhanced by the numerology of 88. The Number 8 represents infinite potential, and meditating and working with the number is believed to activate our DNA. We can take the incredible, uplifting energies of Sirius and merge them with the numerology of the number 8 to fully harness the potential of this portal. The Lionsgate Portal also has ties to the Sphinx in Egypt and the lost city of Atlantis. You can read more on this here.

August 9: Venus Retrograde in Leo Square Uranus in Taurus

Venus Retrograde and Uranus will be in a volatile angle with each other. There could be some surprising news on this day around a relationship in your life. Some information may come out of the blue that can shake and rattle things. While the energy will be strongest on this day, we will feel it for at least a week around this date. If anything surprising does come into your life under this alignment, have some faith that you are being guided to awaken in a new way. Uranus is the planet of awakening, and while it is an expert in shaking things up, it does this so we can open our eyes to a new way of being. Uranus lets us see the world from a new vantage point, and even though change can be difficult at first, there is the potential to find ourselves in a better place than where we started.

August 13: Sun Conjunct Venus – Venus Starpoint

This is a power day for the energy of Venus. When Venus aligns with the Sun, we have the Venus Star Point. Venus is the planet of love, beauty, relationships, money, and the things we value. When it aligns with the Sun, it can bring ah-ha or awakening moments around these areas of our lives. We can gain new clarity, reach a new point of forgiveness, or find ourselves opening to a deeper love. Whatever issues Venus Retrograde has been stirring in your life are likely to feel a little clearer at this point.

August 16: Leo New Moon

The Leo New Moon will continue to activate the Venus Retrograde energies. Venus Retrograde can reveal to us where we may be lacking in self-worth, where we are not living up to our values, and where we are not loving ourselves enough. Under this New Moon, we are given the opportunity to start making changes or to start thinking about how we wish to show up in the world around matters of the heart. This will be an important point in the month when we are offered the chance to do things over, wipe the slate clean, and begin again. Fresh energy will begin flowing in under this New Moon too, helping us to break free from any sluggish energies from the past.

August 21-23: Sun and Regulus Align

Regulus is the star of royalty. It is associated with riches, fame, success, and honors, and on this day, the Sun aligns with it, activating a portal of energy. We can use Regulus energy to bring success to our ventures, to open to abundance, and to activate and align our crown chakras. Regulus holds the energy of opportunity, so set an intention around whatever opportunities you would like to create for yourself and know they are all possible. This is a fantastic, high-energy portal that we can also use to bring more joy, happiness, and health into our lives. You can read more on this here.

August 23- Sun in Virgo

Virgo Season begins as the Sun moves out of its home zodiac, Leo. Virgo Season is a time to organize, consolidate, and get back on schedule. We may feel inspired to clear out the closets or create more structure within our surroundings. It is also a great time of the year to bring attention to our health and how we can create more well-being in all areas of our lives.

August 23- Mercury Retrograde in Virgo

Mercury enters retrograde in its ruling sign of Virgo, this means the effects of this retrograde will be felt a little more strongly. Mercury is the messenger planet. In mythology, it was considered the messenger of the gods. Mercury helps us to think clearly and communicate concisely. It also rules over technology, transport, and all forms of media. When Mercury enters retrograde, its energy moves to more of an internal state rather than an external one. Mercury Retrograde is a time to communicate with ourselves first and to get clear about how we think and feel before we express this to others. Mercury Retrograde can also reveal information or insights that were hiding, or that were not in our conscious awareness. For this reason, it is always best to wait before Mercury emerges from its retrograde journey to have important conversations, sign contracts, and book travel. Of course, life doesn’t always go to plan, so if it’s not possible to wait, trust in the timing of the Universe.

August 27: Mars enters Libra

Fiery Mars moves into balanced Libra. Mars in Libra encourages us to get balanced, especially when it comes to where we are putting our time and attention. With Mars in Libra, we may also feel more passionate about issues relating to justice, equality, and fairness.

August 28: Uranus Retrograde

Uranus joins Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto as it enters its retrograde journey. We now have a total of six planets in retrograde, which may make the weeks to follow feel a little more sluggish. Time may feel like it’s moving slowly or fast, or perhaps both! Uranus is the planet of change and awakening, and when it travels retrograde, we are usually invited to go over the changes we have recently experienced and if there are any adjustments we need to make.

August 30: Pisces Blue Super Full Moon

It only happens once in a Blue Moon! This super rare Blue Full Moon falls in the sign of Pisces and brings a soft, sensitive vibration. It is also a Super Moon, which means it will be close to Earth, allowing us to feel its vibrations more strongly. The Pisces Full Moon has a dreamy, ethereal quality to it. It may be hard for us to think with our logical minds and easier for us to get swept up in our emotions. While being close to our emotions can be a valuable thing, we may have to be mindful of allowing our emotions to overwhelm us. This Full Moon also has strong purge energy, so we may find ourselves guided to release and let go of toxic situations. Saturn, the Master Teacher planet, is also active under this Full Moon, so we may find ourselves on the receiving end of some tough lessons. More to come on this soon!
