The Inner Voice Gide Us Into Strength and Self-Trust
Post on May 31, 2026
Anger isn’t something to suppress or fear—it’s a powerful ally that protects your boundaries, needs, and authenticity. Discover five practical ways to slow down, listen to what your anger is really saying, and turn it into a wise guide for healthier relationships and greater personal power.
Manage your anger, the books tell us. Tame your inner tiger. Quiet the angry beast inside. Anger is an ugly, scary aspect of each one of us, so we’d better overcome it fast, right?
Actually, no. Anger is a core emotion, an inborn part of who we are. Getting rid of it would be like getting rid of a vital organ: It would leave us at a huge disadvantage.
All our core emotions have a purpose. Some of them keep us physically safe (fear, disgust), while others help us navigate our relationships with others. As social animals, human beings need each other in order to survive and thrive. We don’t tend to do very well on our own, and our core emotions are there to help us figure out how to be together.
A therapy client once told me something that has stuck with me ever since: Anger is the emotion that loves you the most. It’s true. Fear loves safety. Sadness loves something or someone that is missing. Joy loves the experience that’s happening right now. Attraction loves connection. Anger loves you: your true self, your needs and boundaries, your authenticity. Anger will show up when something threatens the you of it all, flaring at your physical and emotional edges.
Anger has a particular quality, though, that makes many of us uncomfortable. It is a certain I don’t care what you think of me quality. Anger will leave. It will break up with someone. It will flip the table over and burn the house down. This is necessary. Anger can show us who is safe to be around and who is unsafe; which tribe members share our values and which are enemies. Humans tend to want to connect overall, but anger knows that sometimes connection can get in the way of more important things.
Of course, with such a powerful tool at our disposal, we must be careful how we use it. Anger can push away people we really do want to be close to. It can get confused when it’s trying to protect us from feeling vulnerable. If we consistently ignore and suppress it, it can explode, and then we fail in its mission: to get our relational needs met.
The most powerful move we can make with anger is to start listening to it. Rather than reacting immediately, it needs us to slow down and take a moment to hear what it’s telling us. Once we figure that out, we have choices about how and whether to communicate that anger to others.
Here are some ways to work with, rather than against, your anger.
1. Slow down.
When you feel the body sensations associated with anger—jaw tension, throat tightness, heat in the hands and face, and so on—slow down. Take a moment to notice that your anger is with you.
2. Breathe.
Notice if you are trying to make the anger go away. If you are—stop. Just sit with your anger. Breathe with it. Let it move through your body. Don’t take any action yet. Simply listen to the anger.
3. Ask questions.
Anger usually appears only under specific circumstances:
Imagine your anger as its own entity. (Many people imagine a fire-breathing dragon!) Ask it which of the above things it is reacting to. Sometimes I like to journal from the perspective of my anger, as if it could speak for itself. What is it trying to tell me?
4. Communicate.
So much of the time, all anger needs is a gentle, loving communication of needs and boundaries. In a healthy relationship, everyone would love to help the other get their needs met. We just don’t often know what they are.
A useful (if difficult) side effect of communicating your needs clearly is that you may discover others can’t or won’t meet your needs. That could change or end the relationship altogether. Sometimes that’s exactly what’s needed.
5. Take action.
Often anger is trying to get your power back when you feel it’s been taken away. We can’t always control what’s happening to us, of course, but it can help to think about the choices we do have. If you’re feeling powerless over a particular issue, what’s something you could do to remind yourself that you do have power somewhere else?
Take this practice with you every time your anger comes up. Your life may begin to change for the better, or you may simply feel more at peace, more empowered. Experiment with what it could mean to work with your anger as an ally.

Uncover hidden messages in skin pigmentations: protection needs, hormonal shifts, family legacies. Use intuitive questions on moles, tags, and birthmarks to connect with your inner wisdom.
Moles, skin tags, and birthmarks are skin pigmentations: clusters of cells that create distinctly colored shapes on your skin. While they are usually benign, it’s a good idea to have them checked by a doctor to make sure there are no signs of anything serious (especially if they itch, hurt, or bleed).
Beyond the basics of these common skin pigmentations, let’s uncover the spiritual meanings of moles, skin tags, and birthmarks.
When discussing our skin, it is helpful to remember that the skin is the body’s border—the boundary between the self and the outside world. Our skin is also the organ of touch and how we experience the world. Moles, skin tags, and birthmarks can represent a “clustering up” of the skin: a concentrated area of skin that could, metaphorically, represent an intensified desire to reach out and touch or perhaps draw in and protect. They could also represent a need for protection and for the bolstering of internal borders.
Consider the following questions:
Moles are small areas of darker pigmentation on the skin that can be large or small, raised or flat. They can develop at any time, though they are known to appear when the body is experiencing hormonal changes, such as in pregnancy.
Consider the following questions:
Skin tags are similar to moles but tend to be raised and appear in areas of the body that experience more friction, like the groin or underneath the breasts. Like moles, they can appear during times of hormonal change and are especially associated with insulin resistance, which is often related to diabetes.
Consider the following questions:
Birthmarks appear at birth or within the first month of a person’s life. They are usually moles, malformed pigment cells, or blood vessels. Some people believe that any birthmarks present at birth might speak to past lives and/or family system issues—a trace from a past life or a “mark” left by a family legacy.
Consider the following questions:
The location of your skin pigmentation can provide insight into its deeper meaning to your personal journey. The right side of the body holds action, movement, masculine energies, while feminine energies, including emotions, rest, and dreams, are located on the left side.
Additionally, the front of the body represents looking ahead at the future, as well as how you are perceived by others. The back of the body, on the other hand, indicates the past, what’s hidden, or what you try to put behind you.
Consider the following questions:
Take your time to sit with these thoughts and ideas, then make an effort to listen to what your intuition is telling you about the spiritual meaning of your moles, skin tags, and birth marks.

There is a lot going on this month. Not only do we have the support to go inward and scour out the last of the past, but we are also needing to stay present and attentive to the emerging themes that will be playing out during the upcoming eclipses. You will need to use plenty of discernment to keep yourself on track as well as setting good boundaries against old pesky patterns and some strong discipline to carry it all through. Whether these are small refinements or more significant life choices, this is a good month for continuing on your path of positive personal evolution.
Simplicity is one of the themes that is surfacing to be contemplated. How can you simplify your life? What can you reframe, reset, let go of or reconfigure to reduce or eliminate the stress that comes with drama, complication, attachment and energy that is not yours? This is where discernment and boundaries come in. You may get to a point in your self evaluation of truth that says, “Enough is enough”. This could be around a habit, a pattern of response to others, a relationship dynamic, too much responsibility, too much accommodating another’s set of values different from your own, and a variety of other situations you have been putting up with. This is the past you will be evaluating this month.
We have been deep in the process of observing and dealing with ancestral patterns, at times even processing them physically. This month provides an opportunity to heal and repattern what no longer supports who we truly are. Old patterns are stubborn and you will need clarity and discipline to do what it takes to prepare yourself for the future that you want.
Let talk about simplicity. What does it mean? The definition is the state of being simple, uncomplicated or uncompounded and it comes with clarity and directness. Simplifying your life is not about getting rid of what you do. It is more of a shift in how you approach life and how you do things. If you feel a task is complicated, you are probably complicating it through overthinking, worry, anxiety, excessive hypervigilance and obsessive tracking. The fear of failure is another element that tends to lead to complication, assumption and expectation. To simplify, you have to have the courage to trust the process to unfold perfectly if it is the right action.
Simplifying your life may mean that you have to take something off your plate that is not important or of value. Perhaps it is connected to an old habit or something that you could delegate to someone else or simply to eliminate if it does not serve you. We have spoken many times of the need to declutter ourselves as a culture of all that we have accumulated, not only in the physical realm, but the emotional, mental and energetic fields as well. How much shame do some of us still carry? How much disappointment, resentment, unprocessed emotions, mental opinions, unfinished business, regrets, identities, old dreams and longings are still in our field? This is all clutter that leads to complication, stress, confusion, despair and a feeling of powerlessness.
This is a very tall order but we must drop the fear, disengage from the clutter, and begin to trust in our own medicine and ability to create the right next step. It is crucial that we get our ducks in a row prior to the next eclipse season in order to take advantage of the amazing opportunities coming our way. If you are only focused on what has you worried, anxious and fearful instead of what is new, exciting and inspires you, you will miss out on the opportunities available for growth and expansion into more love, abundance and creativity. It takes discipline to stay positive. It takes discernment to see through the illusion and to say no when appropriate. And, setting good boundaries around what you know you need at this time as you simplify is essential to your well-being this month.
There is potential for emotional healing and maturity as you take responsibility for your past, and in forgiving it, you make way for a better future, balanced and more aligned with spirit. There may be days where you simply do not know where and who you are. They may be filled with doubt and confusion as to your role and purpose. This is all part of navigating times of upheaval leading to deep transformation and change. It is best to be proactive with the process by honoring what has shaped you, honoring the lessons and the karma, the challenges and the successes. Allow your identity to shift simply with the intention to be more aligned, more in truth and more authentic. It is a simple as that.
If your life is great the way it is, this of this month as an opportunity to refine and improve through discernment, boundaries and discipline.
All relationships have been challenged recently, especially your relationship with yourself. Your relationship with yourself informs how you are in all of your relationships. If there is a dysfunctional dynamic and an old pattern, look to yourself first. What are your beliefs about who you are? Whole? Lovable? Competent? Worthy? Powerful? Deserving? Fully realized? If you work on this most important relationship, the results will affect all other relationships in your life. It does not matter where the pattern came from or what past experience shaped your beliefs. What matters is what you do in the present. We have great supportive energies and influences this month for scouring out the old debris so we can fill ourselves up with new energy and purpose. It will take discipline to be present with the process and to pay attention to what is presenting itself either as an opportunity or to be noticed and cleared.
Your relationships with others may go through a growth cycle as well. You may need to put boundaries around certain dynamics that no longer feel right and you may want to expand your ability to take in more support, love and acceptance from others where it feels right. Boundaries can go either way. Loosen them where you need to and tighten them where you know it is the right thing to do.
Listen to your body as it is a powerful barometer of what is happening on a larger scale and in the bigger picture. Bones, joints, teeth and digestion are the systems seriously engaged in this process of release and re-patterning. It is very important to move the body in any way you can during this time. Exercise will also move energy and unblock places of stagnation. We also suggest acupuncture or any other modality that can help move energy. In addition it is recommended that you really look at your habits regarding your body, not just physical, but mental thoughts and emotions as well. What can you change? What no longer feels good? What do you know to be harmful instead of supportive?
Self-care this month must include ways to support better habits and changes that eliminate addictive behaviors. Remember that what you set up for yourself this month will greatly affect what you can manifest in the near future. Look at this time as a preparation for the next eclipse season that will surely bring tension and change. If you don’t want to be caught unawares, be proactive.
The word for this month is SIMPLIFY. We have put way too much on our plates, especially with projects and lofty goals. Most of you are under pressure and stress you don’t notice as you have adapted to expectations of productivity. We suggest you take any retrograde time frame and use it to destress, simplify and bring more ease and balance into your business and work life. If you have to delay a project, do so. We need to shift our relationship with time and get more synchronized with the natural cycles of the earth, the seasons, and our own healthy rhythms. Use discernment to identify where you have energy leaks, and then work with boundaries and discipline to support eliminating and keeping clear of them. Those of you in positions of leadership may have to impose new rules, especially around communication that goes nowhere.
On another note, this is a highly creative time where new ideas can take root with the right partnerships and the right purpose. So be open to new insights and creative problem solving. If it feels right, go for it!
The earth continues to respond to our need for a “shake up to wake up” to support change. The physical structure we all agree on is stubborn in its need to survive and hold on. Sometimes it takes intense weather and earth phenomena to distract us from our attachment to the way we expect things to be. This will continue throughout the year and as usual we recommend great flexibility. Lean into the adventure instead of resisting, and glean some creative inspiration from the amazing creativity of nature. Remember that this is a year of destructive/creative forces, two sides of the same coin. How can you use it in your own environment? Simplify your life by decluttering and getting rid of what you don’t love, making space for something new, be it an attitude, a relationship, a new couch, a new practice….
This is an internal time so make sure you take some time for yourself to listen to your own inner voice. There is a lot of external chatter, opinions and overthinking that can complicate your inner voice if you let it. How and what can you start to think about simplifying?
Keep your vibration as high as possible and stay out of judgment and blame. If you are emotionally triggered, allow the feelings to surface so you can understand and process them. Get help if needed. This is also a good time to revisit something you always wanted to do and never made time for. It could be a good time to reset a dream or a creative pursuit and give it another chance. Listen to your inner voice and allow yourself to be guided to what is calling to you at this time. Don’t be surprised if something old becomes new again.
Have a great month!
Blessings,
2025 promises to be a year of profound transition with the cosmic and planetary alignments indicating that we are in for another powerful year... yay! (with just a touch of sarcasm).
I am slowly inching my way into the new year... 2024 was pretty brutal and I am being somewhat cautious as I enter 2025. The energy feels different already which is good! What I do sense very strongly about 2025 is the importance of boundaries, balance and groundedness. The energies will be wild and unpredictable and being centered in our hearts, aligned with our soul, balanced and grounded is how we will navigagte our way through whatever the year has in store for us.
Be especially mindful of where you are placing your energy and your focus this year as this will determine how you experience each moment. Draw on the tools, strength and resilience you have gained over the past few years while remembering that as a soul you signed up to be a part of one of the most exciting events - the shift in human consciousness.
In 2024 I was very aware of how our energy system and body was shifting and evolving in prepartion for a deeper embodiment of our soul's consciousness. For many this has been an incredibly uncomfortable process as old patterns, beliefs and energies rose to the surface to be released and cleared.
This year our soul's consciousness will be grounded within our human bodies activating an ever greater embodiment and expansion. From February each month a different energetic point will be activated generating a process of healing, release and then deeper embodiment. To support us through this I will be offering a 12-month program called Energetic Mastery. You can learn more about this program HERE.
I will continue to offer a bi-weekly Sunday Webinar where I will share the insights, wisdom and guidance I am receiving for us. The first webinar of 2025 will be held this Sunday, January 5th, 2025. I look forward to seeing you all there. You can register for this webinar HERE or below.
As always I offer personal one-on-one sessions for those who are looking for support, guidance and healing. Please view my website to book or contact me for information on sessions, healing processes and coaching programs.
I thank you all for your continued support! It is a pleasure and an honour to be a part of your journey. May 2025 bring you joy and peace!
Much love
Kate
