This is my third time posting this article because the subject is so germane, so important.

How many people know how to love themselves? A hand over there. One over there.

And yet it’s one of the most important subjects I can think of. But let me write an accompanying article – a part 2, for tomorrow – and go into the subject in more detail.

I was about to write the article that follows, when I saw that I’d already written it. And written it in almost the same way I was going to write it again.

Great minds think alike. Take both of mine. Please.

I’m posting it again because I consider the most urgent problem we as individuals and lightworkers face today, amidst all the chaos, is now and will always be to love ourselves.

As lightworkers, in my view, we’re here to love as we do our specific assignments. I know for myself that I’m in no condition to love others until I feel filled enough with love myself – I’m talking about real love; not what passed for it in the Third Dimension.

Sending love when I’m not “feeling it” would be like a water main that isn’t working properly and is giving only a trickle. So it’s a prerequisite, in my books, for lightworkers to know at least one way of loving ourselves, whether doing the exercise has ignited the fire yet or not.

Thus, actually knowing how to love ourselves – something I never knew or would have guessed until shown (1) – is for me of the highest priority.

And I’m at the back of the class, waving my hand in the air. “Ask me, teach. Ask me.”

May I? Thanks, Digger.

For me, it means something very particular.

Before I knew what love was (prior to a heart opening on March 13, 2015), if you’d have said to me, love yourself, I’d have been stumped.

I’d wonder if loving myself required doing anything. I’d approach it very logically, like preparing for summer camp. I’d make a list of things I need to do to love myself.

Change my diet. Exercise. Get more sleep.

Does loving myself require effort, push, shove, and so on? Does it require commitment? On and on I’d go, eliminating one thing after another.

Looking back, I now see that everything I was doing was only having the effect of tiring me out until I gave them all up. By then, I’d forgotten why I was doing them. (Does this process sound familiar?)

On March 13, 2015, my heart burst open, and I actually found myself immersed in a tsunami of love, to use Linda Dillon’s term. (3) OMG. THIS is what all the saints are praising.  THIS is what they’re giving up everything for.

Fast forward to the present: Even if my heart door is open much less now compared to 2015, I can still experience the love flowing up from my heart when I breathe it up.

Stop the camera.

Love flows.  (4) And the most convenient place for us to tap into its copious flow is through the door of the heart (the hridayam). On the other side, which is higher-dimensional, love flows in a river and that river itself flows to the sea – the Ocean of Love (7th Dimensional), which I’ve also been gifted to experience. (5)

OK, roll the camera again.

I can take that love from my heart and swish it around my body and my field of awareness. Doing that has me feel tremendously revived.

I don’t want to exaggerate. I’m not somehow “saved” or “redeemed” (i.e., ascended);  (6) just perceptibly restored and uplifted.

I maintain that this very process is what’s being invited when the sages say “love yourself.” Draw the love up from your own heart with your inbreath and wash yourself with it on your outbreath. I believe Mary Magdalene is offering a version of this here:

“Do you realize that this tool of Love can be wielded with utter power and abandon [Steve: on yourself], knowing that with every swipe of it, you become more whole, more entrenched in your divine nature — more whole within all your aspects, and more capable of absorbing and integrating all parts and aspects of you, multidimensionally, as well as with all aspects of Christ Consciousness/God Consciousness?” (7)

Whoa, boy! Sign me up!

But we have to actually do what she recommends.

Of course your “divine nature” is pure and innocent already.

“More whole” for me means that purity and innocence is more revealed, more uncovered, more freed from our overburden – our vasanas or core issues. (8)

Baptize yourself with this love: This is the real River Jordan.

Imagine doing this with yourself. At first you may get nothing, but each time you do it you’re priming the pump.

Are All Realizations Just Deeper and Deeper Experiences of Love?

In my opinion, most of us seem to live in the intellectual domain of life. We think of life in terms of dualities: good/bad, right/wrong, beautiful/ugly, etc.

Our discussion centers, in part, around what is, say, good and what bad and then what we like and dislike about the good and the bad.  Cotton is good for you; polyester is bad (I’m making this up). I like cotton and I don’t like polyester.

I like honey mustard; I don’t like mayonnaise. I like Nice on the Riviera; I don’t like Hawaii. I like purple; I don’t like black. On and on we go … and this is life for us. We are what we like.

The experiential realm is more about flowing with life and experience, going where it takes us and opening to the future, to what’s around the next bend.

It doesn’t necessarily result in a lot of words; communication is often by the expression and reception of feeling states, what I’ve in the past called “resonance.”

What makes an experientialist tick can be lost on an intellectual and vice versa.

We might see this as a ladder of increasingly-refined consciousness. The next rung on it is the realized state.

To call it that is to view it from a 3rd/4th-dimesional perspective. If we were to view it from a higher-dimensional perspective, we might call it the ascended state.

Then we might make distinctions between temporary visits to those higher dimensions, as in, say, heart openings or Self-Realization, and permanent ascension to the 5th dimension or higher, which is still a heart opening, but this time full and permanent.

Which perspective we choose only we can testify to. We’re all on the same one journey from God to God and there need be no judgment because one is in Place A and another in Place B.

But I do have my druthers. I find life lived solely at the intellectual level to be similar to eating dry, uncooked oatmeal.  Life lived at the experiential level is like eating cooked oatmeal, with almond milk, cashews, raisins, and honey. Yum! Life lived at the realizational level, since it involves a love like we never imagined it to be, (1) is sublime. All thoughts of eating vanish.

Saying that, for me, is not an abstract statement. Right now I’m experiencing that love.

I wonder if I’d be accurate in saying that all realizations are simply deeper and deeper experiences of love. I’d be willing to make that as a testable hypothesis.

Love is delivered to the door of the heart. Knock, knock, knock. Open the door please.

Do you think that I knew at the beginning of writing this article what I did at the end? I did not. This is awareness writing, stream of consciousness, where the writer learns along with the reader.  I’m also quite sure that someone is moving my fingers.

If they aren’t, they’re asleep on the job. 😊

This sounds like such a harsh thing to be saying but I have to say it because I see it as a truth that needs to be known.

And everything said here will be clear as day when the Ring of Fire (Wave of Love, Event, Solar Flare, etc.) happens.  (1) Before that, not so clear – and seemingly far less relevant.

I assert that many fewer than 1% of the people alive on the planet right now know what real (higher-dimensional) love is.  That’s what I realized during the part of 2015 when I was steeped in it. (2)

And if we don’t realize and are not aware of what real love is, then how can we be aware of its invitations, details, or mechanics?

We can’t know the details of something we know nothing about – including that it exists!

I’ll give you an example. Love sprinkles its calling cards all over our aware space. A little wisp of love may float by. Or love will hitchhike on an upward-tending feeling or mood and overlight us briefly.

If we say, “Oh, this is love,” immediately that love returns the acknowledgement by filling us up. And, oh, then we’re in another world – experientially!

But love obeys the Law of Free Will. We must ask, accept, or allow it to enter and fill us up, if only by our actions and the direction of our intentions. If and once we do, it’ll find any crack to enter in.

Higher-dimensional love is not simply, to borrow Werner Erhard’s phrase, more, better, or different than what we normally feel. I can genuinely say it’s out of this world.

I did not know ahead of time the amount of lift … not quite the right word … transformation … hmmm. I did not know the amount of being turned inside out, thoroughly washed clean, and left to dry that entering into the flow of higher-dimensional love would bring.

Love is like air in the higher dimensions. Only in the 3rd/4th Dimension is density so thick that experiencing real love is difficult.

Once I asked Michael what I gave up on incarnating and he said lots and lots of memory. (3) I think it may have been outweighed by the lots and lots of love I – and all of us – gave up!

I’ve stopped asking people if they know what love is.  Too many people who clearly don’t know say they do. What am I going to say? “No, you don’t”?  I’ve placed myself in a most uncomfortable position.

There are signs that a person knows what real love is. Their movements are more settled.  They seem more relaxed and confident. They’re not in a rush to go anywhere … unless they’ve agreed to become the editor of a busy lightworker blog! (OK, OK, just kidding!)

They know what they want (more love). They know where they’re headed (to more and deeper love).

They know that love is the solution to all problems, the answer to all questions.

They know love is the philosopher’s stone, the talisman, the abracadabra and open sesame that we’re all looking for. Once we’ve found it, the simplicity of it all humbles us and makes us laugh.

It was always this simple? Just love? Oh, heavens…!

Attachment to everything else at the moment of accepting love drops away and I find myself attached only to love. (4)

What can be Said of an Enduring but Essential Mystery?

Sometime, somewhere, Archangel Michael said to me: “If you only spend your life sending out love, you’d have fulfilled your soul contract.”

But do you think I can find it? Someone asked me for it and, though I couldn’t locate it, I found so many other instances of it – or near relatives – that my questioner and I agreed they should be posted.

The Arcturian Group taught a near-related lesson:

“The highest form of spirituality is to simply know, rest in, and be the Light, which is consciousness of Oneness.” (1)

If it’s the highest form of spirituality, I can’t fail to fulfil my contract by simply doing it; that is, simply loving.

Make no mistake about it: I’m not talking about what passes for love on our dimension – turning your head in another’s direction and saying “I love you,” while going over our shopping list in our minds.

I’m talking about drawing a higher form of palpable love up from your heart (not your heart chakra), where it dwells, and feeling it as it moves through you and out to the world. Ooooooooo-wheee! You ain’t never felt anything like this!

Michael describes the situation here:

Archangel Michael: Many human beings thus far … don’t have a reference point and the human psyche, again thus far, has difficulty comprehending things when there is not a reference point.

Steve: Well, yes, of course, that does make sense. But even if there is a reference point … I’ve had many peak experiences in which I, for a short period of time, experienced that love.

But I’d never been able to walk around in it [prior to my heart opening on March 13, 2015] and be with it for hours and see how it comes and goes, the way it keeps anger and jealousy and resentment away. I’d never luxuriated in it and observed it. That’s what’s missing for people.

AAM: Yes, and that is what is coming. That is the focus of this rebirth. When the Mother talks about, when we talk about the rebirth of love upon this planet, that is what we are talking about. (2)

Oh, man, do we have paradise awaiting us!

I don’t think it matters whether he was talking about a planetary heart opening, which is a fourth-chakra trigger of a higher-dimensional experience of love once inside the heart, (3) or Ascension, which is a permanent heart opening. Both are our doors in to a love, as Mike Quinsey says, “that you cannot imagine.” (4)

Everyone who discusses it agrees:

Federation of Light: A LOVE OF A MUCH HIGHER FREQUENCY THAT YOU CANNOT FULLY YET APPRECIATE.” (5)

Divine Mother: [Ascension] is a complete redefinition of what it means to be human. It is the complete surrender and [abolition], elimination of the old third dimension, because love does not exist in that environment, not the love that I speak of this night. (6)

Archangel Michael: This is your new addiction.

S: Addicted to love?

AAM: Yes. (7)

To coattail on the Mother, this is the love I also speak of tonight.  This is where we’re all headed.

How will you know you’re experiencing this love? You couldn’t miss it, but let’s pretend you need some markers.

Your experience of life has immediately altered. Your worries, hopes, and fears have vanished, replaced by a feeling that, to describe it, would take a quiverful of superlatives, none of them reaching the target.

Or, like a blanket that’s too small, the words wouldn’t cover all of it at the same time. Something is always left out of our descriptions.  Something always eludes us about love. There seems always more and deeper of it to experience and more to be said. And a terrific urge to say it!

But what? What can be said of an enduring but essential mystery?

Happy Independence Day, America!


There’s no better contribution that I can make than to share my record of shaking free from a few unworkable behavior patterns, if you’d allow me.  It seems fitting on Independence Day.

What makes this time different for me than times past is that in the past I’d always be hearing about someone else’s crisis. Yes, from time to time that would be interrupted by a triple bypass or prostate cancer, but none of that was any big deal (the recovery might be).

I even emerged from what I consider to be a heart attack better than I’d been before. (1)

Most of what was happening was far away. I was always, seemingly, in the eye of the storm.

Now, one crisis after another, has hit in rapid succession. They were almost like hammer blows, given how the one before it already rattled my nerves. I was in the thick of it. (The crises were still happening a day after this article was written.)

Let me start with the bandit ATM, a few crises in. Imagine feeding an ATM $1,000 and getting back a receipt saying thank you for your $340? Machines are not supposed to be robbers and thieves. There went my faith in machines!

And the bus-pass machine later the same day denying me service? What is this? Was I in the Warsaw Ghetto or something that a machine is saying no service for you? Of course I’m by this time nearly horizontal from all the other things going wrong, many of which I’m not reviewing here.

And a day after writing this article, I heard that a good friend had just had an operation to treat three ulcers and could die. And another good friend delivered a baby in one hospital room in a rural town while her brother-in-law passed away after a heart attack in the room across the way.  This has been a bizarre week x 10.

In my view, I’m in boot camp. The Company of Heaven is raising one scenario after another that raises one vasana (or core issue) after another.

I say it’s all being done on purpose.

I got at a realizational level and not just an intellectual or experiential level (2) that I’m in transition from being a writer only to a writer and a humanitarian philanthropist/CEO.   And I still have many vasanas (core issues), which translate into many vulnerabilities.

Many holes in the dike. Much bleeding off of energy to maintain my old holding patterns. And condemning myself to trying to move others by control, carrot and stick, etc.

In my old hermit role, all was manageable because I was walled off from “disturbances.” But this will be a complete change of scene and modus operandi and I’d best be ready for it.

Clean up my eating habits. T-shirt and jeans? Remember how to be in civilized company and “pass.”

Change my vote on a lot of matters. (3)

 

Then relief comes in a moment when I remember….

… and experience and know what will change all this….

Love.

I breathe love up from my heart and voila! All my worries vanish.

I remember what Michael said:

AAM: Love is the energy of the universe. It is the energy of the Mother. And it moves constantly, continually, eternally, infinitely. So, to have an experience of love, it [must move] through you.  (4) [My emphasis.]

 I’m having an experience of love right now as it moves through me and out to the world, on my inbreath and outbreath.

This is how I’m going to do it.  Remind me when I forget.

If ever there were a demonstration for me that “love is the answer,” it’s right now, showing how drawing love up from my heart and experiencing it as it passes through me calms me in the midst of crisis.

(I’m talking about a higher form of love than we normally experience, but will experience more and more of as time passes.)

Back to the transition.  Given that I lack all knowledge of business matters and yet Michael and Sanat Kumara still want me to be right where I am, (6) I’ll act on what I actually do know … and mostly that is “love,” the nature of love, the mechanics of love….

People understand love. It’s a universal. They respond to it.

I don’t need to strategize, just as the blog has never needed to advertise.  I just need to love.

(1) My slipped disc was healed and about 90% of the pain in my left knee from arthritis is gone as a result of that “heart attack” experience. Just enough is left, I surmise, to slow me down, which I believe to be its purpose.

And it is so, and I truly mean that you have reached a point in your heart, in your being, in your life, in your consciousness where you are realizing … first of all you are realizing the magnitude of our partnership but you’re also realizing that worry and fear and angst do not create and they do not birth.

Yes, there are times, fight or flight, where it may spur you into action but in and of itself, fear and worry will not do anything. (AAM, Aug. 17, 2018.)

You’re a Part of the Blog; We Hope We’re a Part of You

Two more days until the rent is due and we have not made our minimum target yet.

No room for lethargy here! I’m a cat on a hot tin roof!

I’m really not stressed. Just having fun with it. I have full faith in the Mother’s plan for us.

Would you allow me to unwind for a moment and share on the subject of giving? I’m seeing a lot more of its hidden side after having agreed to be on the receiving end. I’d like to summarize some of what I’ve learned.

The first thing I wanted to share is that I have my own charities that I give to and I derive the benefit of being part of them through my donation.

One I’ll let you know of because I’m really proud of it. You know this person.

That gift is to Cathy Buckle in Zimbabwe. Cathy has been writing her newsletter since a long time ago – I believe 23 years.

She helps her neighbors out to the best of her ability in poverty-stricken Zimbabwe.  I’ve said to her that hearing what she does for her neighbors is what triggered me to want to be one of her donors.

I’m a part of what she’s doing in Zimbabwe and I find that really inspiring. Some day I’ll go there and repay Zimbabwe for all it’s about to do for me (the Reval and Zims, I mean).

I want to share that you’re a part of my work in the same way. Without you, I wouldn’t be able to write. You make it possible.

Secondly, I’ve come to see that there’s a dynamic behind giving.

As you know, love must flow. The action of giving draws love up from our hearts. We get to experience that love as it flows through us to the person we’re giving to.

Thirdly, I’ve seen that giving sends us in a definite direction. You can’t really give and dislike the other person, hate them, resent them, etc. To give – notice that we smile when we give – is, I believe, a universal gesture which is like an open door, the granting of access.

It communicates not only acceptance but also caring. It sends us in that direction. We can use giving to open a shut door or to enhance our relationship.

Donating is a way that’s available to everyone, to build relationship and community.

Fourthly, another confession: I’m happy with my decision long ago never to lend.

I grew weary of losing friends when I asked them to pay me back and I often didn’t get the money back anyways….

So why don’t I just donate?  If I donate, people end up loving me rather than hating me and I feel love the minute I give. I tell people I got my reward the minute I gave them the money. Giving is love in action.

One of the features of life in the higher realms is that we’re immersed in a constant flow of love.

It’s like being caressed and ordinarily that would heighten the experience if I could imagine it being heightened.

The fact that it flows means we get to experience it flowing through us.  To have the experience of love, one brilliant strategy is to share it.

I love the way the universe is designed!

But don’t take my word for it. Let’s listen to the sages on the subject.

Here’s Sri Ramakrishna, mid-nineteenth-century avatar (and my paramguru):

“Love is one of the patterns of the Mother. Love will always flow. It will never stand still. The Mother is energy, movement. In her universal aspect, she never stands still. Were she do so, the world would return to its Origin. Love is her energy and the flow of love is her movement. It supports the world; comprises it; and dissolves it in the end.

“The Divine Mother [is] the Primal Energy.” (1)

Wow. That says it all. Remember that the Mother has told us, “my essence is love.”  (2)  She’s not more specific than that because “my essence … is far beyond what you can imagine.” (3)

So love will always flow. To have an experience of it, it needs to flow through us, Michael tells us:

Archangel Michael: Love is the energy of the universe. It is the energy of the Mother. And it moves constantly, continually, eternally, infinitely. So, to have an experience of love, it [must move] through you.  (4)

The 9D Arcturian Council makes a similar comment: To allow the higher energies like love to pass through us becomes not just an act of service to others; it’s also an act of service to ourselves:

“You [are] handling the higher-frequency energies that are coming in that you have agreed to anchor in for the rest of humanity.

“Now, this is not just an act of service, because you also get to enjoy the feeling of those energies ‘running through you.'” (5)

This fact that we experience our love in sharing it is why Jesus would remark:

“I came to know that to give someone love, even when they despise you, is a gift to your own heart.” (6)

It’s a gift to our own heart because, in giving that love even though they despise us, we get to experience that love as well as it passes through us.

Let me end with Michael’s thumbnail sketch of what awaits us:

AAM: When the heart becomes fully aware and awakened, what it does, think of it as a domino effect. Oh, there can be slight resistance but the awakened heart takes care of all the rest. … It dispels the ignorance, the fear, the denial. It dispels everything. …

When you are anchored or accessing, living in what you think of as a higher dimension, the, shall we say, the ease of knowing becomes easier. It does not feel like striving. It is simply an awareness that is fully present and, as you anchor in the love dimension [Seventh], as we will call it, then of course the access is fully present. (7)

The Seventh is also called the Dimension of Christ Consciousness. While Ascension itself is an endless process, when an end-point is discussed for this present Ascension, it’s often said to be the Seventh. (8)

So there we are: The complete case for why it’s advisable, profitable, and desirable to draw love up from our heart and send it out to the world.

Not only does it greatly benefit the world – especially if we were doing it en masse – but it also benefits us marvellously when we experience the love as it flows through us.
