How to Overcome Self-Doubt with Help from Your Inner Rebel

How to Overcome Self-Doubt with Help from Your Inner Rebel

By Keri Mangis

Challenge anxiety and doubt by accessing your inner Rebel archetype.

Sylvia Plath once said, “The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”

So many of us are on this planet to live a creative life, challenge status quos in all spaces, express our authenticity, and continue to make the world a better place for ourselves and future generations. Creativity is not just about making art—it is the root of all joy, the force behind our purpose.

But if we give the voice of self-doubt too much power, we shrink instead of rise. We conform instead of breaking molds. We yield the floor instead of using our own powerful voice.

Self-doubt, a cousin of fear and anxiety, is common to all of us. It often sounds like:

What if I fail?
I don’t know if I can.
What would others think?

But just as common to all of us is our desire to move beyond these limiting fears so we can live fulfilling, purpose-driven lives. One way to do that is to activate bold voices from within us—the ones we can draw courage from.

To find them, let’s turn to our inner archetypes.

Meet Your Cast of Inner Archetypes

Inside each of us lives a whole cast of characters—what we might call archetypes.

An archetype (“arche” = original/origin; “type” = model/pattern) is an expression of a particular kind of energy or personality we can all recognize. We use the language of archetypes all the time, even if we don’t realize it. Some common archetypes are the Teacher, Bully, Leader, Athlete, and Scholar.

Archetypes express themselves in many ways. Some sabotage us while others guide or inspire us. Some mostly hang out backstage, while others get more time in the spotlight. But all of them can act. Learning what archetypes exist within us (and how to work with them) can help us understand ourselves better and live more confident, peaceful, creative lives.

Self-Doubt and the Rebel Archetype

The voice of self-doubt could come from a variety of archetypes. It could be one of those for whom nothing you do is ever good enough, like the Inner Critic, Perfectionist, or Judge. Or it could stem from archetypes such as the Mother or Caretaker, who just want to keep you safe.

But if we are going to do our soul’s work, finding another voice that can overcome self-doubt is the key. That’s when we need to call up the Rebel archetype.

The Rebel is the one who dares; the part of us that leads with gusto and a touch of bravado.

The Rebel doesn’t care what other people think. They aren’t cowed by judgments or opinions. They revel in being contrary or even shocking. They walk their own way in the world, even (and especially!) when it doesn’t align with societal norms.

It is true—the Rebel corresponds to the more adolescent, even reckless side of ourselves. Giving too much power to the Rebel could easily cause us to lose sight of anything but our goal. But a sprinkle of rebel energy on our self-doubt? That might be all that is needed.

Now, if you’re thinking that self-doubt has your Rebel firmly tied down, here are a few ways you can loosen them up and put the Rebel’s energy to use in your life.

4 Steps to Cue the Rebel to Center Stage

1. Engage in a Dialogue

I have often used internal or written dialogue as a tool to engage with differing aspects of myself. It is fascinating to let them take center stage and then sit back and enjoy the show.

For this exercise, put your self-doubt (or whatever archetype you believe is voicing it) and the Rebel together and let them hash it out. Use your pen, your body, your voice, sock puppets—whatever works. Maybe it sounds like this:

Self-doubt: “I don’t have what it takes.”
Rebel: “You won’t know until you try!”

Self-doubt: “I don’t know what I’m doing.”
Rebel: “Hey, no one does, why should that stop you?”

Self-doubt: “What if I’m not the right person to do this work?”
Rebel: “You’re the only one who can do it your way.”

Self-doubt: “That’s not really how things are done.”
Rebel: “And how well has that worked before?”

2. Dress and Act the Part

If you feel it’s hard to find the voice of the Rebel archetype, try embodying the part instead. Think of it like slipping into a costume: What would the Rebel wear? How would the Rebel stand? How would they walk into a room?

Or, is there an outfit or adornment you’ve imagined wearing but haven’t been ready to take the risk? A bright lipstick, bold jewelry, maybe a new tattoo to help pull out your rebellious side? By physically embodying the Rebel, we can also awaken the energy of the Rebel.

3. Use the Rebel’s Mantras

Mantras don’t always have to be about love and light. Sometimes we need mantras that help us break through, move forward, and channel energy that we need. Try these phrases to help put self-doubt in its place:

  • “You can’t stop me.”
  • “You can’t make me.”
  • “I’ll do it my way.”
  • “I’m doing it anyway.”
  • “Watch me.”
  • “Wanna bet?”

4. Rebel in Small Ways

Sometimes what we might think of as rebelling is just good old-fashioned boundary-setting. Try calling up the Rebel when you need to say no, when you want to post something vulnerable on social media, or when you are called upon to share your opinion. Let the Rebel help you find the words (and the attitude!) to live and act more aligned to your truth.

And … Action!

You may not want the Rebel to be the most prominent archetype in your life, and that’s likely wise. But give them a little more stage time, and paralyzing self-doubt can soon be replaced with confidence.

Before you know it, the boldness and bravery of the Rebel will be yours, and you can work with them to live your most creative, energetic, and conscious life.

A Love Poem to God

A Love Poem to God

Love Notes

Brynne E. Dippell, Ph.D.

Posted May 28, 2024

I wanted to share something that came up in an Akashic Records session recently.

Click here to listen to today's edition (6 minutes, 3 seconds).

The lovely woman with whom I was speaking was struggling with the circumstances of life, with disappointment, with self-doubt. Everything felt hard.

Perhaps you have felt this way at times, too… where everything you want is a struggle, and it is so difficult to find your way through.

The Record Keepers asked this one to write a love poem to God. A mystical love poem the likes of Rumi, Hafiz, and Mirabai - expansive and filled with love.

As these words came through me, I could feel their beauty. I could also feel it was the most perfect medicine.

“Write a love poem to God.”

Can you feel the energy of that now? It is exquisite.

To write a love poem to God, you must first get quiet within yourself. Take a breath and feel the sensations of your body and then drop in even more. Touch into your heart for moment, and see if you can feel the peace that always resides there. And then breathe in again.

Next imagine your mind or your awareness reaching up into the sky, into infinity. Feel the expansiveness there, feel your own self become without limit. Take an even softer breath now and let that limitless feeling expand.

Now touch into your heart, and see if you can feel the love that is always there. For good measure, breathe into your heart to amplify this feeling.

Now send this sensation up through the top of your head and into the heart of the Cosmos. Feel the expansiveness again.

Put pen to paper or fingertips to keyboard, and write the love note to God. And of course by God, I mean God/Spirit/Source/The All That Is, the Universe - however you imagine it. Write the love poem that God wants to hear, the one God needs to hear. It can be a few words or many stanzas. Write the love poem God needs to hear.

As you write this poem, feel yourself touching into the heart and the beauty of who you are, and expressing it freely.

If you indeed take the time to write this love poem, it will activate that which is most beautiful inside of you. Even more, it will let you know who you are. You will be made aware again of the beauty of your own heart.

When you finish your love poem, hold it up to the light, and read it out loud. This will transmit the vibration of it to the heart of the universe immediately. It will be lovely. When you are finished, press your love poem against your heart, and let its vibration fill your chest.

Breathe in your love poem until it feels complete. Then rest for a moment.

If you feel called, please share your love poem as widely as possible. Share it with the people you love, share it by email, post it on your favorite social media platform. The farther these vibrations can reach, the sooner the world can be transformed. Let this be your gift of love to God and to the world today.

Thank you.

Much love,

Brynne

Applied Spirituality: Taking a Stand

Applied Spirituality: Taking a Stand

by Steve Beckow

The animals are said to be ahead of us in already feeling the love

This time is shaping up to be, not so much one in which we study and absorb, but one in which we apply what we’ve learned of and from spirituality, wherever there is social chaos. This may be a time of applied spirituality.

How do we do that? Let me make some suggestions if you would.

We’ve all heard stories of a mother saving her child by lifting a car off it.

We’ve all been in emergency situations where someone has taken a commanding role. And we’ve welcomed it.

They’re accessing faculties which lie dormant but are blanketed over by such things as lethargy, self-doubt, resentment, malintention, or simple ignorance.

Whatever holds us back, when we break free of it, we used to say, in growth work, we “showed up,” “arrived,” or “called ourselves forth.”

What arrives is at least what Eric Berne called our “Adult” consciousness state; in some instances, our “Higher Self.”  (1)

***

Speaking only for me, I’m telling myself that we’re facing a bad scenario (takedown of the cabal) that’s about to get worse for longer than I previously expected.

Thus, when we think about what to do in a bad situation that’s about to get worse for longer than we expected, we can choose to remain the victim of that circumstance. We can grouse and complain.

Or we can use the impetus of the occasion to arrive, show up, make an appearance, so to speak.

In other articles, I’ve talked about what Werner Erhard called “presencing the Self.” I’ve created a list of a number of the ways I’ve seen this done or have done it myself.

Let me introduce that list here as suggestions on how we can show up in response to our situation:

(1) Tell the truth, compassionately, including sharing all withholds.
(2) Make a difference in someone’s life.
(3) Be with our experience until the truth reveals itself.
(4) Process our vasanas and conditioned behavior.
(5) Make a declaration, a promise, a commitment.
(6) Take a stand.
(7) Complete something.
(8) Breathe up the love from our heart and come into the interaction from that.  (2)

What’s common to all of these is that the action frees us from something that’s holding us back. We’re free from a withhold. We’ve completed a traumatic memory. We’ve let go of an ancient grudge by forgiving someone. We’ve lightened our load. We’ve en-lighten-ed ourself.

Drawing from that list, in this era of toxic vaccines and other attempts to “depopulate” the globe (i.e., murder us), the one way that I find myself feeling most drawn to is to taking a stand. Yes to this; no to that.

No to child trafficking.  No to toxic vaccines. No to chemtrails. No to directed energy weapons. No to 5G. No to smart cities. And so on.

A stand is what we say it is. It needs a “by when” to effectively orchestrate whatever results.

My stand is that all evil-doing on Earth will end within five years. I’ve been unrealistic in my time estimates in the past, and I now want to estimate with an eye to whatever of reality I’m aware of.

I think five years is realistic figure, although it may turn out not to be. It counts on a modicum of star-family help in preventing Illuminati-induced global disasters. (3)

It sounds as if we’re going to start into the storm on a more public level very soon. (4) If so, my stand is that we do whatever we need to do to cross the finish line together.

Taking a stand calls forth the Adult, in some instances all the way to the Higher Self. And this is just one tool to remain present and of service in the troublesome times ahead.

How to Be a Better Channel; Three Practices to Try

How to Be a Better Channel;

Three Practices to Try

By Cendrine

Posted July 21, 2023

These three things I am about to share are practices that I do regularly that allow me to channel advanced content from star races, ascended masters, Sophia God, my soul and so on.

PRACTICE 1: REMOVE SELF-DOUBT

Most of us doubt ourselves and our ability to channel. This is the biggest block for our intuitive, psychic and channelling abilities.

I even still doubt my channelling abilities at times, even though I am an advanced psychic and have been channelling my soul, my High Council, many other beings and Source for myself and clients for years.

As soon as I catch my human doing that, I catch it. I consciously catch my human experiencing self-doubt and choose to stop.

The only way to bring our shadows to the light is by doing the inner work.

By doing the inner work we unravel our belief system, heal past trauma and harmonise our nervous system.

And always say to yourself:

“I am a powerful channel”

Make this your mantra, because it is true! We are always channelling; it’s just we are not always conscious of it.

PRACTICE 2: CONSCIOUS BREATHING

The breath is everything! Our breath is what allows us to connect and activate our pranic body, Ka Body or energetic body.

Our energetic body is what creates our physical body and not the other way around.

When we breathe consciously, we relax the mind. We open the heart; we harmonise our nervous system and we call in presence.

I do not try to access information out there; it comes from within. Many aspiring channels try to connect outside of themselves first. However, when we do this we fragment our psyche, deplete ourselves of energy and tap into a distorted ego around imagination.

When you reach a level of pure presence, you will know exactly how it feels in your body when you start channelling certain frequencies.

PRACTICE 3: CONNECT TO YOUR SOUL

Instead of trying to connect to an Arcturian, a Pleiadian, an ascended master or an angel, connect with your own soul first.

Our soul knows us better than any other being in the universe. This is because our soul IS our angel.

You are your own protection and you are your own master.

Once you reside in that knowledge with humility and clarity it changes everything. When we meet ascended masters and star races from this place, we meet them as equals and not from an inflated ego.

Once we can reside in full soul alignment and in pure presence we can channel our own information, from our own soul with is the most profound information of all.

Let me know if these tips to become a better channel helped you! Perhaps they are a little different to what you may have expected 😉

With divine love,

Cendrine
