New Era Begins

New Era Begins

February Energies

By Donna Page

Posted on January 4, 2024

The Aquarius new moon in February is the first new moon with Pluto in Aquarius in our lifetime.

This new moon on the 9th is closely connected with Uranus, the planet of unexpected surprises. The desire to free ourselves from restrictions can suddenly erupt and give us the courage to break away from situations that are not in support of our personal path and expression.

The taste of Pluto in Aquarius last year gave a sense of anticipation, excitement and threats of new technology out pacing our ability to keep up is front and center.

Perhaps the most significant happening is Mars conjunct Pluto in Aquarius on the 14th.  The last time Pluto and Mars met up at 1 degree in the sign of Aquarius was in December of 1779 and they keep connecting every couple of years for the next 20 years. The same is true for the next 20 years for us. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius there were years of social upheaval, new contracts between governments and the people, and industrial revolution.

Pluto Mars is an explosive energy; mars wants to take action and Pluto wants to go deep and go big. In Aquarius it is fueled through ideas and inventions. This is a time to learn something new that supports a future you envision.

Paying attention to your community is vital during this month, who and where do you want to be?

Where do you want to live? And who do you want to be connected to? Seeking a place where you can be yourself of likeminded individuals is super strong this month.

The Sun moves into Pisces on the 18th at 11:13pm EST. The Pisces season moves us towards feeling our way through the world. Pisces is a water sign, water does not argue with the boulder in the river being in its way, when water encounters an obstacle it finds the easiest route around it to be on its way. This is a time in our life to examine where can we find answers and solutions that come from unseen places. Our inner intuitive guidance system becomes activated and information is channeled during our dream state and meditative state.

Venus and Mars come together in Aquarius on February 22nd beginning a new cycle for friendships, intellectual pursuits, and creative and innovative life pursuits. This cycle allows us to develop positive social networking and the ability to create community based upon shared ideas. The desire to be with others that have a similar belief system and mindset urges us to consider changing jobs or even where we live to achieve a sense of connectedness and belonging.

The Full moon in Virgo on the 24th has the element of Saturn reminding us to get to the core of what brings emotional fulfillment in our everyday life. The moon in Virgo teaches us to pay attention to our routines and note whether or not they are supportive to our overall wellbeing. There is a compassionate helpful side going on now; a friend in need can reach out for assistance. Venus and Mars are still hanging out together for this full moon and vibrating with every expansive Jupiter urging to take risks in going after that which brings you joy.

The month ends with leap year with the Sun sandwiched in between Saturn and Mercury. The sun symbolizing self-expression is being influenced by Mercury the idea planet and Saturn. This is a great day to study a situation that has perplexed you and find solutions that work.

Venus Direct and Jupiter Retrograde

Venus Direct and Jupiter Retrograde

Unpacking September’s Astrology

By Donna Page

Posted on September 4, 2023

Hello Friends of Astrology,

How was the Super Blue Moon for you last night? The energy of the full moon will be felt for a few days, pushing us to realign between the worlds of what is practical and dreams of what is ideal. September begins with the two helpful planets, Venus and Jupiter shifting directions.

Venus moves direct on the 3rd at 12 degrees of Leo connected with the north node of Neptune. This configuration brings a dreamy visionary vibration for us to capture what our ideal is for a life of Venus, our idea of a beautiful life filled with what we love. Of course what we are envisioning as a possibility doesn’t always exist in reality; and sometimes we become disillusioned in people when they don’t live up to who we know they can be. Yet the purpose of enveloping this energy around us it to break the negativity of imposed limitations and imagine what is possible.

Jupiter shifts retrograde on the Monday the 4th, Labor Day for the USA. Jupiter likes for us to go big, to expand what we think we can do and say yes to life. Jupiter in Taurus is willing to spend a little more for something in order to have better quality. Taurus is an earth sign; Jupiter in Taurus tempts us to get out in nature and appreciate the beauty of Mother earth.

New Moon in Virgo September 14th

The Virgo new moon vibrates in a harmonious aspect with the planet Uranus gently allowing for change in our daily routines of life. This support of the new moon is to make adjustments to feel that what you are doing is useful and has a purpose. The new moon is opposite Neptune, again a theme of visualizing your ideal life. Venus is slowly moving forward in Leo and is square to Jupiter in the new moon. This indicates the desire to go after more of what you love in life. There is an element of I want it, I deserve it, with this combination. As Venus spends her last few weeks in her extended stay in Leo, the core lesson she brings us is to love, self love and giving authentically from the heart. With the Virgo new moon which brings a practicality in everyday living we have the opportunity to anchor in our daily lives and routine of living our life from our heart center.

Sun In Libra

The sun enters Libra heralding in the equinox on September 23rd at 2:50 am EDT. This is the time of year to enjoy pleasant social activities.  Venus is the ruler of Libra and this year Venus in the equinox chart is still in Leo. Therefore these social activities that will be more readily available will include celebrations, such as birthdays, weddings, and gatherings that have a party vibe to them. The north node of the moon is now in Aries, (ruled by Mars) and Mars is in let’s make a compromise Libra. Venus and Mars are in harmonious aspect; if there is something that you have been wanting to make happen, any type of agreement with others, then this energy is very supportive.

Mercury Direct September 15th

Mercury moves direct at 8 degrees of Virgo on September 15th, if you have been putting off a decision over work or education, now is the time that the information you need to feel certain come together.

Full Moon in Aries

The full moon on September 29th is at 6 degrees of Aries, this full moon has Venus in a tense vibration pattern with Uranus. Sudden changes happen under this configuration. If you have been tolerating relationships or situations that are unbalanced or not fair then this energy helps you to walk away. If all is good with your life the Venus Uranus combination with the Aries full moon is fun and exciting. An opportunity comes along to experience something special or different. There is a grand trine (harmonious connection) with the planets Mercury, Uranus, and Pluto in earth signs. Knowledge and insight are easy to come by at this full moon. This is a good time to dive into a subject that is of great interest to you as the Uranus component will help with many a ha moments.

The Aries full moon every year is a reminder to find the sweet spot of going our own way and doing what we like to do while having companions in our life that we can share our interest with. With the prominent Venus in this full moon including fun and excitement are a big part of the recipe for fulfillment.

With love and light,

Theme for February: Listen to your Heart

Theme for February:

Listen to your Heart

By Donna Page

Posted on February 4, 2023

The theme for February is listening to the dreams that live deep in your heart and taking action to manifest them.

The emotional charge of the Leo full moon Sunday the 5th will dominate the first days of February. Moving towards the weekend the sense of connecting to our deepest desires to live a life of full expression is palpable.

This full moon is one of the most intense and powerful full moons of the year. Uranus, the planet of disruption and change is intimately connected to the full moon. Uranus wants to awaken us and can do so through unexpected events that shakes us out of our ordinary way of seeing the world and brings a different perspective.

Also a tense combination is occurring on the full moon with Venus; the planet that wants us to have a beautiful happy life is square Mars, the planet of action and also called the warrior planet. They are in a square position to each other which indicates a fundamental disagreement between what action needs to occur in order to have what we desire. Coupled with the Moon in Leo which screams, follow your heart, listen to the message of your heart, will be complicated as the action to take may not be as smooth as you like.

For example, the inner wisdom of your heart may be crying out to seek a more fulfilling job, or relationship, or whatever yet the action needed to accomplish could be complicated. Mars, the action planet in Gemini the sign of ideas and mind, and also the twins can be stirring up confusion with more than one direction to go in through an internal dialog and debate that goes in circles.

In addition, Uranus is pulling you to break free of unwanted restrictions: you can see why this Leo full moon is quite juicy. How to work with this mixture of energy ultimately is to go deep within after your internal debate and find the underlying foundation of what is most essential for you to have. In other words, at the end of the day, what is the core need that makes your heart happy?

As the month moves forward when the Sun conjoins Saturn on the 16th an understanding or decision on concrete ways to bring what you want into your world is revealed.

PISCES NEW MOON

The new moon in Pisces on the 20th has Venus at the very last degree of Pisces which is conjunct a fixed star called Scheat. Scheat in ancient astrological lore has the misfortune of being called the star of sorrow and suffering. The element of Venus in lovely star land of Pisces, where she is happy surrounded by musicians, poets, and artist, knowing that she is at the last day of her time here and about to enter into Aries, where she needs to put away her dreamy clothes and put on a suit of armor as she spends the next month among the warriors. This element will resonate sometime during the next four weeks as a longing for a pleasant retreat from the daily grunge in the midst of ordinary obstacles that demand a little bit, (or a lot) of assertiveness.

Venus is in the sign of Pisces until the 20th, compassion, empathy and longing for what is possible seeps into our daydreams. This is a time to listen to your favorite music, contemplate your idea life and to find time outside of your daily responsibilities.

Venus moves into fiery Aries on the 20th and is shining bright in the skies in the evening. Venus as an evening star carries more wisdom. Therefore, Venus in Aries will be adamant, determined, and quick to go after what she wants. Yet as an evening star she has the wisdom to distinguish the difference between whether she wants the object of her desire for the thrill of the chase or if it is truly something dear to her heart.

This Pisces new moon is a reminder to embrace the spiritual warrior within and to cherish and honor the value of giving more than we take. In digging down to find the core concept of what this year’s Pisces new moon is offering us we look for what is call the final depositor of the chart. This is akin to who has the last say and is ultimately running the show. This year Saturn in Aquarius is at the foundation from which we can build upon the Pisces gifts of creativity, imagination that leads to new insights, artistic events, and the capacity to help those who are in need.

Saturn suggests that when you have the core needs met and are not wasting your time or energy of extraneous activities that in the long run are not part of your path, the energy and time opens up for you to embrace the offerings that the Pisces new moon has.

Both Mercury and Venus are in aspect (connected to) the maverick planet Uranus in the new moon. This is a quick in the moment vibration to make decisions towards having what you want. Opportunities will arise between the new moon and early April that demand a quick response whether to go for it or not. When you are clear on what you want, either to do, or to have, or around relationships then this is a time to say yes to the universe.
