I asked Spirit what you needed to know this morning. What I heard was, "They need to know their own beauty."

Let me hold up a simple mirror to you. :)

And share a story from today.

One of the consequences of my spiritual awakening is that I arise early, oftentimes at 4:00 am. This morning I woke at 3:33 am, which I thought was the most perfect time. I got up, and as I always do, I headed to the beach. As I was walking along the dark, empty streets, I was aware of a profound, crisp peacefulness.

At my usual halfway point, I turned around and headed back. Across the street was another early riser, a man with whom I had last spoken 18 months ago. He had surprised me that day by walking up to me and telling me he had been waiting his whole life to meet me, that he had known the moment I had moved into the neighborhood. He said my frequency had spoken to him.

At the time, that caught my attention. He went on to say that he was my soulmate and that we were destined to be married. That definitely caught my attention. We spoke for about 10 minutes on that day 18 months ago, and I agreed to meet him the next morning for another walk along the beach. He was uncannily intuitive; he saw into my heart right away. This surprised me.

When we met again, he read a poem that he had written for me overnight. It was quite beautiful. He extended a marriage proposal to me on the spot. As much as I would love to say he was my One, after only 30 minutes of knowing him, I could not agree to his proposition. He did not take this well, and I left soon thereafter. We haven’t spoken since.

He approached me again today, so many months later, and we had a pleasant chat. He said he would love to ask me out for a cup of coffee, but he recalled that I had a mate.

As one does in the dark, alone, at 4:30 in the morning, no matter what the actual circumstance, yes, indeed I had a mate. :) He said, "They are drawn to your light, and they will never leave you." Puzzled, I asked him who "they" were, and he said, "Him. He’ll never leave you. Everyone is drawn to your light." I was touched. I thanked him, smiled, and moved on.

After a few steps, I ran into two women, also creatures of the early morning, whom I see every day at the beach. We started walking together, and they mentioned that I had been talking to him. I told them the story of meeting him a year and a half ago, and how he had asked me out again. I mentioned his comment that he was drawn to my light, and they said it was the same for them.

This surprised me as well. These are lovely people I see every day and with whom I share those kinds of pleasant superficial chats we all have. I had no idea what they thought about me. They both took the opportunity to say that I lifted them up just by being around them, that I had a special light, and I emanated a sense of love through my way of being.

I was very touched, and with warm surprise, I said, "Really…?" Together, they said, "Yes!"

We parted soon after. As I walked home, I reflected on their comments, mostly because I would have never imagined they felt that way. So this brings me back to the beginning: your beauty.

Just as I received these unexpected acknowledgments of my essence, I want you to reflect on your own. What would someone say about you?

If you are here reading these words, I’m going to start by saying that you have a good heart, that you care about other people, that you want to do good in the world. Your light is very bright. I will also add that you are here for something bigger. You are here to make your unique mark on the world.

You are very beautiful. ✨
