A Vision for Death and Grieving
The Vision Alignment Project
Our Vision for today is so heartfelt and eloquent that we feel blessed to share it with you. It was sent in by Joni Stone and she said it was written "In Memory of a Bright Light Spirit and one I called Friend, Ramya, 9/12/11."
I have a vision of a world that embraces the Dying process as part of our Living process - that it no longer hides in faraway facilities and funeral homes, and those who mourn are embraced and consoled appropriately whether family or friend. That this fact of life can be both sad and celebratory.
That each person may be allowed to grieve and mourn in their own way, without restrictions, and without explanations. That workplaces and community alike will allow a person to both celebrate the life of the one they have lost but also be allowed the time to feel the sadness of their passing (and leaving us behind) from our physical world into the non-physical.
That the dying during their transition may embrace the process and find peace, love, compassion, completion, grace, joy, and their own sadness in leaving this plane for the next. That maybe one day we may reach a place where we no longer feel any sadness in their leaving, nor will they feel fear in their transition, but until then, let it be ok to be sad, to cry, to be angry, and then rejoice, and celebrate the beautiful life this person has had and all the lives they have touched.
Thank you very much, Joni. We are in complete alignment with you and are intending that many others are too.
