5 Meaningful Things to Do on New Year’s Eve

5 Meaningful Things to Do on New Year’s Eve

Anna LeMind, B.A.

Posted on December 30, 2023

New Year’s Eve has a magic about it – it’s the time when every child and adult believes deep in their heart that the coming year will bring a positive change. I’ve got a few ideas on the things to do on New Year’s Eve for all those who want to celebrate this magic in a more meaningful way.

So let’s tune into the spiritual meaning of this time and program ourselves and our lives for improvement! Below are a few rituals to celebrate New Year’s Eve in a meaningful way.

5 Meaningful Things to Do on New Year’s Eve

1. Declutter your home

Decluttering your home is more than just a boring chore. It also has a number of unexpected mental health benefits, and studies confirm it. It gives you a sense of order, helping you organize your thoughts and, eventually, your life.

Hard to imagine a better time to declutter than right before the year ends!

Throw away all the stuff you don’t need. You can also add some spirituality to it by visualizing negative energy being removed from your home with every unnecessary item you get rid of.

This practice symbolizes letting go of redundant things in your life and starting a new chapter.

I also make sure I don’t have any pending housework left for the next year, like laundry or dirty dishes. It gives me a sense of closure and satisfaction, making me feel free to say goodbye to the ending year and welcome the new one with a clear mind (and home).

2. Open your gratitude jar or write a gratitude list

Gratitude is a universal practice that works wonders both for spiritual and non-spiritual people. It’s the simplest way to feel happy with what you have!

There is a beautiful technique called ‘gratitude jar’. To practice it, you should write down positive events whenever they happen and things you are grateful for on small pieces of paper and put those into a glass jar.

When the year ends, you should open the jar and read the notes. It’s obvious that recalling all the nice things that happened to you over the course of the year is going to make you feel happy and grateful.

If you don’t have a gratitude jar, you could start one in the coming year. Till then, another way to celebrate gratitude on New Year’s Eve is to make a list of all the things that make you feel happy and alive.

The purpose of this lovely ritual is to say thank you to the ending year, no matter how hard it was.

3. Write a letter to yourself

Another one of the meaningful things to do on New Year’s Eve is a letter to yourself. You could write about your goals for the next year as well as the lessons you learned in the current one.

You could think about the truths that opened your eyes and reflect on your personal evolution. Have you become a kinder, deeper, and more mindful version of yourself? Have you succeeded in combatting your fears and getting rid of limiting beliefs?

When the next New Year’s Eve comes, open your letter to see if you have achieved the things you had planned and whether the learned lessons have shaped you into a better human being. Reading a message from your older self can be truly eye-opening.

4. Make a list of meaningful New Year’s resolutions

Compiling a list of resolutions is one of the most popular things to do on New Year’s Eve. Every one of us has certain dreams, goals, and things we’d like to change or improve.

But except for listing obvious resolutions like ‘read more books’ or ‘work out every day’, try to think up a few truly meaningful ones. To do this, a great idea would be to meditate and engage in deep reflection.

Here are a few examples of questions you could ask yourself to come up with meaningful New Year’s resolutions:How could I bring more sense of purpose in my life?

What personal qualities would I like to improve?

Which of my character traits or thought patterns hold me back in life?

What activities could I introduce into my daily routine to be happier and more motivated?

5. Celebrate your achievements

Finally, another meaningful way to say goodbye to the ending year is to focus on your achievements. After all, it’s the perfect time for summing up the results of your work and personal progress.

Once again, you could focus on your personal growth and other areas of your life rather than just career progress. In other words, think about all the improvements in yourself and your life that you achieved during this year.

For example, a seemingly insignificant habit like making a regular phone call to your grandmother is still an achievement.

This simple New Year ritual will help you feel better about yourself and look at the bright side, which is much needed in the tough times we are living in.

These are just some ideas on the things to do on New Year’s Eve to celebrate it in a more meaningful way. What about you? Are you planning to do something special? Please share your suggestions with us!

Till then, may the coming year bring you love, happiness, health, and peace!

1984 Quotes about Control That Are Scarily Relatable to Our Society

1984 Quotes about Control That Are Scarily Relatable to Our Society

Anna LeMind, B.A.

Posted on February 10, 2023

Sometimes I have a persistent feeling that the gloomy worlds of dystopian novels, such as George Orwell’s 1984, have become our new reality. There are too many similarities, and some of them are striking. You can see it for yourself if you read through the list of 1984 quotes about control.

We live in truly remarkable times. Never before has the information been so abundant. And so easily manipulated.

We thought that today, when everyone carries a camera in their pocket, it would be almost impossible to hide the truth. And here we are.

Whole fake news industries are created to distort the facts. Corrupt politicians talk about morals and justice. Public figures claim that more weapons will bring peace. No alternative opinion is allowed in the mass media, and yet, we constantly hear about freedoms and rights.

Aren’t we living in the world of 1984 already? Maybe some people forgot that George Orwell’s novel was supposed to be a warning, not a manual.

I’ll leave this list of 1984 quotes here for you to think. Read through it and ask yourself if it reminds you of what’s going on in our society today.
1984 Quotes about Control, Mass Manipulation, and the Distortion of the Truth

1. War is peace.

Freedom is slavery.

Ignorance is strength.

2. Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.

3. Power is in tearing human minds to pieces and putting them together again in new shapes of your own choosing.

4. The choice for mankind lies between freedom and happiness, and for the great bulk of mankind, happiness is better.

5. Nothing was your own except the few cubic centimetres inside your skull.

6. We do not merely destroy our enemies; we change them.

7. Orthodoxy means not thinking–not needing to think. Orthodoxy is unconsciousness.

8. For, after all, how do we know that two and two make four? Or that the force of gravity works? Or that the past is unchangeable? If both the past and the external world exist only in the mind, and if the mind itself is controllable – what then?

9. The masses never revolt of their own accord, and they never revolt merely because they are oppressed. Indeed, so long as they are not permitted to have standards of comparison, they never even become aware that they are oppressed.

10. It was possible, no doubt, to imagine a society in which wealth, in the sense of personal possessions and luxuries, should be evenly distributed, while power remained in the hands of a small privileged caste. But in practice such a society could not long remain stable. For if leisure and security were enjoyed by all alike, the great mass of human beings who are normally stupefied by poverty would become literate and would learn to think for themselves; and when once they had done this, they would sooner or later realise that the privileged minority had no function, and they would sweep it away. In the long run, a hierarchical society was only possible on a basis of poverty and ignorance.

11. The invention of print, however, made it easier to manipulate public opinion, and the film and the radio carried the process further. With the development of television, and the technical advance which made it possible to receive and transmit simultaneously on the same instrument, private life came to an end.

12. In philosophy, or religion, or ethics, or politics, two and two might make five, but when one was designing a gun or an aeroplane, they had to make four.

13. The Ministry of Peace concerns itself with war, the Ministry of Truth with lies, the Ministry of Love with torture and the Ministry of Plenty with starvation.

14. Heavy physical work, the care of home and children, petty quarrels with neighbors, films, football, beer and above all, gambling filled up the horizon of their minds. To keep them in control was not difficult.

15. Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.

16. Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four.

17. They could be made to accept the most flagrant violations of reality, because they never fully grasped the enormity of what was demanded of them, and were not sufficiently interested in public events to notice what was happening. By lack of understanding, they remained sane. They simply swallowed everything, and what they swallowed did them no harm, because it left no residue behind, just as a grain of corn will pass undigested through the body of a bird.

18. And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth.

19. If he were allowed contact with foreigners, he would discover that they are creatures similar to himself and that most of what he has been told about them is lies.

20. In our society, those who have the best knowledge of what is happening are also those who are furthest from seeing the world as it is. In general, the greater the understanding, the greater the delusion; the more intelligent, the less sane.

21. Reality exists in the human mind, and nowhere else. Not in the individual mind, which can make mistakes, and in any case soon perishes: only in the mind of the Party, which is collective and immortal.

22. To know and not to know, to be conscious of complete truthfulness while telling carefully constructed lies, to hold simultaneously two opinions which cancelled out, knowing them to be contradictory and believing in both of them, to use logic against logic, to repudiate morality while laying claim to it, to believe that democracy was impossible and that the Party was the guardian of democracy, to forget whatever it was necessary to forget, then to draw it back into memory again at the moment when it was needed, and then promptly to forget it again: and above all, to apply the same process to the process itself — that was the ultimate subtlety: consciously to induce unconsciousness, and then, once again, to become unconscious of the act of hypnosis you had just performed.

23. War is a way of shattering to pieces, or pouring into the stratosphere, or sinking in the depths of the sea, materials which might otherwise be used to make the masses too comfortable, and hence, in the long run, too intelligent.

24. In the end, the Party would announce that two and two made five, and you would have to believe it.

25. Sanity was statistical. It was merely a question of learning to think as they thought.

26. “How can I help it? How can I help but see what is in front of my eyes? Two and two are four.”

“Sometimes, Winston. Sometimes they are five. Sometimes they are three. Sometimes they are all of them at once. You must try harder. It is not easy to become sane.”

27. The enemy of the moment always represented absolute evil, and it followed that any past or future agreement with him was impossible.

28. Nor was any item of news, or any expression of opinion, which conflicted with the needs of the moment, ever allowed to remain on record.

29. Life, if you looked about you, bore no resemblance not only to the lies that streamed out of the telescreens, but even to the ideals that the party was trying to achieve.

30. But if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought.
The Similarities Are Scary

So, what are your thoughts on this list of 1984 quotes about control and mass manipulation? I find things described in George Orwell’s masterpiece scarily relatable to today’s society.

But there is a way to confront mass manipulation, and it is to apply critical thinking to everything you learn. Don’t take anything at face value. Always ask yourself why.Why is it being said?
Why is it being shown?

Why is this idea/trend/movement being promoted?

The more people are able to think critically, the harder it becomes to fool the masses. That’s the only answer if we don’t want to find ourselves living on the pages of a dystopian novel such as 1984.

11 Warning Signs You’re Ignoring Your Intuition

11 Warning Signs You’re Ignoring Your Intuition

Anna LeMind, B.A.

Posted on July 8, 2023

In today’s over-connected world with its never-ending chatter, it can be difficult to hear the voice of your inner being. That’s why you should learn to recognize the signs you’re ignoring your intuition or, in other words, you are disconnected from yourself.

There are so many unhappy people around us. They just wake up one day and realize they picked the wrong career, married the wrong person, and wasted their life on nonsense.

How did they allow this to happen? They ignored their intuition and lived their lives according to someone else’ expectations.

If you don’t want to be one of those people, it’s better to learn to hear the voice of your intuition and be aware of the signs you are ignoring it.
11 Signs You’re Ignoring Your Intuition

1. You keep finding yourself in the same situations

When we are disconnected from ourselves and our intuition, we attract similar situations. We don’t learn our lesson, and thus life throws the same types of people and events at us so that we finally see the truth.

Are you always attracting narcissists and toxic people? Do all your relationships fail and end the same way? Do you feel unappreciated at work time after time?

If you get repeatedly stuck in the same negative patterns, it’s a powerful sign you are ignoring your intuition. Because its voice is always there, trying to warn you—you are just not listening to it.

2. You immediately brush off every negative gut reaction you get

When you get a negative gut feeling about a person or a situation, you are quick to brush it off as irrational and stupid. Sometimes you put real effort into convincing yourself that everything is all right.

I just met him. How could I possibly know he’s not a good person? I need to get to know him first.

It’s a typical situation. What could go wrong? I’m just being anxious.

Sounds familiar? These kinds of thoughts often pop up in your mind when you get a negative gut reaction that can’t be explained by logic.

It happens because you don’t trust your intuition. When you don’t have solid evidence that someone is a bad person or a situation is more dangerous than it seems, you just ignore your instinct.

3. You are indecisive

Since we disconnected you from your intuition, you find it hard to trust yourself. You are never sure about your decisions and prefer to get someone’s advice before acting. You also spend countless hours weighing up the options and overanalyzing everything.

This indecisiveness also makes you avoid the slightest risk. Most often, you don’t act at all and just prefer to leave things as they are. As a result, you sometimes feel like you are stuck in a rut.

All this stems from mistrust—toward yourself, your intuition, and life itself. You are so afraid to make the wrong choice and fail that you end up not making any.

4. You run away from negative emotions and pretend to be happy all the time

If I asked you whether you are happy, what would you say? Would it be a definite ‘yes’ or would you have to think it over? Maybe your positive answer would come along with a subtle hitch in your chest?

When you’re ignoring your intuition all the time, you end up lying to yourself. Lying that you are content with your life, that everything is fine, and that you are enjoying yourself.

Every time you feel sad or unfulfilled, you immediately skip these feelings and act like they don’t exist. After all, you have no actual reason to feel down, do you? So, you run away from every bit of negativity you might be experiencing.

5. Deep inside, you know something is not right with your life, but you keep running away from this feeling

And yet, there is a vague feeling deep inside you that haunts you. A feeling that something is not right, that you are walking the wrong path and living someone else’s life. This is one of the most warning signs you’re ignoring your intuition and have lost touch with your inner being.

But as you do with all negative feelings, you put it aside. You try to distract yourself and forget about it, pretending that everything is all right.

In reality, it’s the voice of your intuition screaming for attention. Because deep down, you already know that the life you are living is not what you wanted.

6. You feel tense and anxious for no reason

When you aren’t living in harmony with yourself, at some point, uncomfortable symptoms set in: unexplained anxiety, tension, and the overall feeling of being unsettled.

You are lying in your bed at night, all comfortable and having no reason to worry, and yet, your heart is racing and you can’t fall asleep.

Sometimes your intuition is trying to reach you through physical symptoms. And anxiety can be one of those.

7. You feel like you are not in charge of your life

Remember that vague feeling we talked about above? Sometimes it gets a little more specific, and you feel like your life doesn’t belong to you.

You are not in charge, and there is someone else who is pulling the strings. You are just going with the flow, having no power over what’s happening to you.

Maybe this feeling stems from the fact that you try to please everyone. Or that you neglect your own needs and always go with what others want.

Does this ring a bell? Feeling like you have no control over your own life is another key sign you’re ignoring your intuition.

8. You are afraid of staying alone with your thoughts

You don’t want to face these uncomfortable truths, so you are running away from yourself. To achieve this, you avoid every opportunity to spend time in your own company.

You know that as soon as you stay alone, frustrating thoughts start to fill your mind. And you don’t want to listen to these thoughts. You don’t want to listen to your intuition. That’s why you are constantly distracting yourself with noise and chatter.

You are always connected to social media or are surrounded by other people. You keep your TV on most of the time. It’s like you are allergic to silence—as soon as it gets too quiet, you feel the need to fill the room with some kind of noise.

The fear of staying alone with your thoughts is one of the most telling indicators you are disconnected from yourself and your intuition.

9. You are always busy

To get distracted from those uncomfortable thoughts, you don’t only avoid solitude, but also keep yourself busy all the time. You find it hard to relax and enjoy the moment.

You stay late at work and overload yourself with unnecessary household chores. Your social life is so busy that you barely ever spend an evening at home.

So, it’s no surprise that with this hectic lifestyle, you have no opportunities to sit down and reflect. By keeping yourself busy, you are running away from your intuition and the frustrating truths it’s trying to tell you.
10. You always end up doing what others want

Whether it comes to trivial choices or big decisions, you tend to go with what others want. You are afraid to let them down or just believe they know better.

Maybe you are so used to this passive role that you don’t even try to voice your opinion. Or, even worse, you don’t even try to figure out what it is that you want. You immediately agree with others and get convinced that it’s the best option.

Okay, this attitude is not a big deal in trivial situations. Does it matter if your friends choose the movie or your wife decides what color to paint the living room? But the problem is when other people also make more important decisions for you.

Did you pick your career based on your parents’ expectations? Did you marry out of the fear of staying single in your 30s?

If you don’t know what you want and always wait for other people to tell you what to do, it’s easy to end up deeply unhappy and stuck in a life meant for someone else.

11. Your mood is a mess

Along with anxiety, unstable moods are among the physical signs you’re ignoring your intuition. At one moment, you feel down and bored. A minute later, everything gets on your nerves, and you grumble quietly or vent out your anger at someone.

You also have a general lack of enthusiasm and energy. Everything feels pointless, as if you have no reason to wake up in the morning. This is what happens when you are disconnected from yourself. All these symptoms are the cost of ignoring your intuition and neglecting your real wants.

Do you recognize yourself in the above? Don’t worry, fortunately, there are ways to reconnect with your intuition. It’s never late to restore the connection with your inner being and discover the path to a fulfilling life!

Do People Come into Your Life for a Reason? 9 Explanations

Do People Come into Your Life for a Reason? 9 Explanations

Anna LeMind, B.A.

Posted on April 8, 2023

There’s been a long debate about whether people come into your life for a reason or this is just a matter of coincidence.

Realists and pragmatic thinkers believe that there is no deeper reason behind meeting specific people in life. We just make a certain number of social connections throughout our lives, and that’s all. People come, people go. There is no hidden meaning behind that.

Someone with a more spiritual mindset would argue and say that every person comes into our life with some mission or lesson to teach us.

What do you believe?

If you ask me, I think that it’s true and people come into our lives for a reason. I’ve seen this happening to me and others so many times. I also don’t regard this belief as something purely metaphysical, having to do with karma and things like that—for me, it’s more about the wisdom of life.

So, let’s explore this belief further and ponder about the possible reasons people come into your life.

Do People Come into Your Life for a Reason? 9 Explanations of Why They Do

1. To teach you a lesson

The most obvious reason people come into your life is to teach you an important lesson you wouldn’t learn otherwise. Typically, it’s some painful experience, such as betrayal or loss. It breaks you into pieces, but then you come out of this situation as a much wiser person.

Sadly, we learn better from disappointments and adversities than from positive experiences. There is also a belief that life will send you the same challenges until you learn your lesson.

Therefore, if you realize that you attract a similar type of person all the time, maybe it’s not a coincidence. For example, you always end up dating narcissists or your circle is always full of fake and manipulative people.

Maybe they are sent to you with the one and only purpose – to teach you that lesson, no matter how hard it is.

2. To show you the person you want to be

Not all the reasons we meet someone have to be negative. Sometimes people come into your life to inspire you.

Maybe they have personal qualities you admire and would like to cultivate in yourself. Maybe they have accomplished something you dream about.

When you talk to such a person, you feel a boost of inspiration and motivation to pursue your goals. They no longer seem unrealistic! You realize that you can achieve what you dream about, just like they did.

Or you just watch how gracefully the other person deals with a situation where you would mess up. And you learn. Next time you face such a situation, you will keep this person’s approach in mind, and you will handle it differently.

In the end, the belief that people come into your life for a reason always boils down to learning and becoming a better person.

3. To show you the person you don’t want to be

This logic goes the opposite way too. Sometimes people come into our lives to show us our negative sides, so that we can change and become better individuals.

Have you ever met a person who had similar traits and behaviors to your own? It’s like you seeing yourself from a distance.

It’s difficult to spot faults in yourself, but they become evident when you see them in others. You may watch someone else being rude, needy, or uncaring, and you realize that you act exactly the same way, too.

Seeing your negative behaviors in others is a powerful wake-up call. This is when you make a decision to change and work on your character flaws.

4. To push you toward your life purpose

Some people come into your life and change its course. They are the ones who help you discover your true purpose.

It may not be obvious in the beginning, but just the presence of this person in your life slowly pushes you toward your mission. It may be the passions or the values this person has, so one conversation after another is getting you closer to who you are supposed to become in life.

For example, you may share the same hobby, but they will show you the way to turning it into a job. Or they may push you toward an idea you haven’t considered before.

5. To teach you to recognize and handle abusive and unhealthy situations

Getting involved with abusers and manipulators is one of the most wearing experiences you could have. But there is still a meaning and a reason behind letting such people into your life.

You learn to recognize toxic personalities and unhealthy situations in relationships. When you meet such type of person again, you already know what’s going on, so it saves you time and emotional resources.

This has happened to my best friend. A few years ago, she was in a relationship with an abusive guy who was suffering from pathological jealousy. Of course, it didn’t work out, and they broke up.

Now she is dating someone who is somehow clingy and jealous. But she approaches the relationship in a totally different way because she has learned how to deal with a jealous partner and set boundaries.

6. To see yourself from a new angle

We don’t always see ourselves realistically. We tend to underestimate our strong qualities, as well as overlook our flaws. That’s why we often need other people to show us that we are pretty different from what we thought.

Whether it’s about positive or negative qualities, someone may come into your life to help you see yourself from a new angle. Maybe this will give you the opportunity to know yourself better. Maybe this will also motivate you to transform and grow as a person.

One result will be certain—you won’t be the same person you were before meeting them. And that’s the reason they came into your life in the first place.

7. To challenge you and make you step out of your comfort zone

Some people we meet seem to be from a different planet. They have totally different interests and their lives are nothing like ours.

When you meet a person like this, it could be that they are meant to shake you up and encourage you to leave your comfort zone. They don’t exactly give you inspiration or set an example. But they open your eyes to a new side of life.

They motivate you to explore it and live it to the fullest. And maybe this is exactly what you need.

8. To break your illusions

Disappointments are painful, but in the end, they help us learn to see the world in a more realistic way. We all have certain illusions about life, people, and ourselves. That’s why sometimes people who come into our life are meant to break those illusions.

Still, this doesn’t have to happen through disappointment or betrayal. Sometimes just hanging out with a realistic person who has a totally different viewpoint can help you see the flaws in your thinking.

Meeting a person who challenges your views and opinions can be annoying first, but in the end, you will thank life for that. Later you will realize there was a reason people like that come into your life. They make you view the world from a totally different angle and learn things you didn’t even know existed.

9. To change each other’s lives for the better

Just as other people’s presence affects us, so does ours. We inevitably affect and transform each other, especially if we talk about romantic relationships and close friendships.

That’s why one of the main reasons people come into your life is to change and enhance it. And you come into their lives for the same reason.

In the end, this is what matters—to be surrounded by people who make you happy and put a smile on your face.

People Come Into Your Life for a Reason, a Season, or a Lifetime – Is This True?

There is also a popular belief that people come into your life for 3 reasons:
A reason
A season
A lifetime

You may have stumbled upon this saying on the web and wondered what it meant. Is it true and what exactly does it mean? I think this is a pretty clever saying that sums it all up.

People come into your life for a reason when…

…they are meant to teach you a lesson. Typically, this includes negative experiences, such as dysfunctional relationships, manipulative friendships, and all kinds of disappointments. Without meeting this person, you would never learn the lesson life wants to teach you.

You may come out of this relationship broken and defeated, but in the end, you become a wiser person. This disappointment may also bring you to the right track.

This also includes all the other reasons we listed above.
People come into your life for a season when…

…they are not meant to transform or affect you. Their presence in your life is fleeting, and there is no deeper meaning in it.

Yes, it’s true that not everyone we meet is meant to be here for a reason. Some people are just passers-by in your life. You hang out with them as long as you work in the same job or go to the same college.

This is also called “situational friendships”. When a shared situation is over, this person disappears from your life, too.

In fact, most of our connections are just that — situational friends. They are not meant to last or bring something new and profound into your life.
People come into your life for a lifetime when…

…they are meant to stick by your side. These people will be your lifetime friends or companions. They don’t just transform you, but also bring quality into your life, and you do the same for them.

This is among those instances when you meet your “soulmate” or forever friend. There are deeper things that connect you—not just common hobbies or a shared workplace. It’s something bigger, such as similar values and views on life. You could have the same mission as well.

When you meet such a person, your life will transform in so many ways. And it will certainly change for the better.

So, what are your thoughts? Do people come into your life for a reason or not? I’d love to hear your opinions! Feel free to share them in the comment box below!

We all know someone whose very presence ruins all the fun. Or someone who complains all the time, so you end up feeling drained after talking to them. There are also those who never have a nice word to say.

What do all these examples have in common? They describe low vibration people. Could you have such individuals in your social circle without even realizing it?

First of all, let’s focus on the definition of low vibration.

What Does It Mean to Have ‘Low Vibration’?

It means to have negative energy and spread it onto those around you.

If we look at it from the rational point of view, ‘low vibration’ or ‘negative energy’ translates into negative emotions. Therefore, a person who has it is prone to negative feelings, destructive thought patterns, and toxic behaviors. They also drag everyone around into their misery.

It doesn’t always happen consciously, though. Some people give off negative vibes because they suffer from mental illness or are going through a tough time.

However, if a friend or a family member of yours is always angry, bitter, or sad, it means that they suffer from chronic negativity or low vibration. So, what are the signs of low vibrational people?

35 Signs of Low Vibration People

1. They are hardly ever in a good mood

Low vibration means negative emotions and, therefore, bad moods. That’s why low vibrational people feel down most of the time.

Of course, there can be a specific thing or person that spoiled their mood. But often, they get upset by their own negative thoughts.

2. Everything gets on their nerves

For the same reason, they get annoyed easily. Be it a co-worker’s laughter, a song on the radio, or traffic jams in the city center, something or someone always gets on their nerves.

3. They always find a reason to complain about

With a negative attitude like this, it’s no surprise that people who have low vibration complain a lot.

Of course, each one of us feels annoyed and angry from time to time, but the key sign of low vibrational people is that they dwell on negativity. It seems like they enjoy complaining and talking about ugly, sad, and frustrating things.

4. They lose their temper easily

Anger is among the most powerful low vibrational emotions. So, when someone is prone to low vibrational energy, they lose their temper easily. Sometimes they get mad over the most insignificant issues.

For example, a low vibration person can start an argument out of nothing or get offended by someone’s innocent remark.

5. They are always up for an argument

It seems like low vibrational people are consciously looking for conflict. Like they seek to express all their repressed anger and chronic dissatisfaction in pointless arguments. And it’s true—their low vibration makes them attract more negativity into their lives.

6. They see life in a negative light

Low vibrational energy makes you focus on the negatives in every given situation. Moreover, it causes you to be generally pessimistic and have a gloomy outlook on life. Low vibrational people tend to pay most of their attention to imperfections, problems, and disappointments.

7. They believe that life is unfair to them

Low vibrational people are convinced that life is utterly unfair and doesn’t treat them right. They didn’t succeed because the circumstances were adverse, and they are unhappy because they married the wrong person. Someone like this tends to feel unlucky and mistreated.

8. They find it hard to feel happy

Even when a low vibrational person accomplishes something, they find it difficult to feel happy. They are constantly worrying that something bad will follow, and this success and happiness won’t last for long.

They distrust life itself, and that’s why they struggle to enjoy it, even during its brightest moments.

9. They are not happy for others either

Of course, low vibration people find it even harder to feel happy for others. Instead, they get jealous and bitter.

It looks like other people’s success spoils their mood, and it’s true, since envy is a low vibrational emotion. Therefore, it’s more natural for such a person to feel jealous than to celebrate someone else’s accomplishments.

10. They lack energy and enthusiasm

Low vibration means a lack of energy, enthusiasm, and vigor for life. It makes you dull, unenthusiastic, and tired. That’s why people who have it hardly ever get excited about things and events.

11. They love criticizing others

Since low vibrational people are focused on the negatives, they tend to point out everyone’s flaws and mistakes. This prompts them to criticize those around them.

12. They are self-critical as well

Low vibration doesn’t make you critical only toward others — it also fuels self-criticism and self-loathing. A person like this often beats themselves up for the most minor mistakes.

They may also make self-deprecating comments to fish for compliments and get other people to comfort them.

13. They find it difficult to have fun

If you have an acquaintance or friend who always looks bored and annoyed at gatherings, they could be a low vibrational person. People like this tend to be dry and stiff, as if they don’t know how to relax and have fun.

14. They are never content with anything

Whatever you do for your low vibrational friend, they never appreciate it. The gift you gave them was not what they had expected, the concert you invited them to was too crowded, the food in the restaurant was overcooked…

Such people never feel satisfied with anything because they are not happy with themselves in the first place.

15. They make a mountain out of a molehill

Making a mountain out of a molehill is a typical behavior of low vibration people. They take a minor problem and exaggerate it into a disaster.

That’s because their low vibrational energy makes them prone to negative emotions, such as anxiety and frustration. So, sometimes they create problems out of nothing. As a result, they waste their lives stressing over trivial matters.

16. They dwell on negativity

When a low vibrational person has a specific worry or problem, they struggle to shift their focus on to something else. They dwell on the negativity caused by their overthinking and anxiety. They fully immerse themselves into the problem and can’t think about anything else.

17. They are anxious

Anxiety and fear are among low vibration emotions. Therefore, a person with this kind of energy tends to get anxious easily and worry about everything. They are also very likely to suffer from irrational fears and phobias.

18. They are unlucky

To an outside observer, it looks like someone with low vibration is the unluckiest person ever. They always make the wrong choices and get into tricky situations. The truth is that their lack of luck stems from their low vibrational energy, not external circumstances.

19. They often feel misunderstood and mistreated

For the same reason, those with low vibration attract toxic and negative people. This quote by Wayne Dyer perfectly sums it up:

The law of attraction is this: You don’t attract what you want. You attract what you are.

Therefore, if you have low vibration, it makes sense that you attract people with similar energy.

20. They have a victim mentality

It can be difficult for a low vibrational person to accept responsibility for their failures. It’s much easier to blame everyone else, isn’t it? That’s why they often develop a victim mentality and complain about being mistreated and taken advantage of.

21. They are prone to sadness

As we said above, a key sign of a low vibration person is that they are prone to all kinds of negative emotions. Sadness is definitely among them.

Such people often feel under the weather and sad for no obvious reason. Sometimes they can’t even say what exactly spoiled their mood.

22. They don’t have a purpose in life

Low vibrational energy leaves you unenthusiastic and drained. Therefore, you don’t have the vigor to set goals and pursue dreams. You are stuck in a routine, busy with your daily responsibilities, living a life that has no purpose.

If you know someone who is low vibrational, you won’t see that spark in their eyes that makes a person passionate and determined.

23. They are impatient and judgmental

When you have low vibration, you only see the bad in other people. You also don’t seek to understand and accept them. For this reason, low vibration people tend to be judgmental and impatient with those around them.

24. They feel bad about themselves

A low vibrational person’s negativity isn’t focused only on others, but also on themselves. This makes them prone to self-esteem issues. Since they find it hard to feel happy and satisfied, they also struggle to feel good about themselves.

5. They are oversensitive and get offended easily

Low vibration people can be hard to deal with because they often overreact and get offended over nonsense. This happens because of their bitterness and overall discontent with life and themselves.

You feel like you need to carefully watch over what you say to make sure your low vibrational friend won’t take offense.

26. They are overprotective of their personal space

For the same reason, a low vibration person tends to be overprotective of their personal space. They are oversensitive, which can lead them to be excessively guarded with other people. They trust no one and see every attempt to establish contact as an invasion into their personal space.

27. They compete in misery

If you tell a low vibrational friend about your troubles, don’t expect that they will show empathy, offer help, or try to cheer you up. Most likely, they will tell you a similar story of their own, where they look even more miserable. As a result, you end up comforting them instead.

28. They make everything about themselves

When a person has low vibrational energy, they become a prisoner of their self-absorption. That’s because their problems, fears, and worries consume all their attention and energy. There are no emotional resources left for helping or comforting someone else.

For this reason, they struggle to even talk about other people’s problems. Low vibration people make everything about themselves and shift each conversation on to the things that occupy them.

29. They get mean

Extremely low vibrational energy can turn you into a bitter and mean person. You may end up feeling like you hate everyone because you believe that other people are the root of all your troubles.

That’s why in certain situations, low vibrational people get pretty mean and say terrible things to others.

30. They love gossip

Gossip usually revolves around negative topics, such as someone’s marriage problems and family disputes. That’s why people with low vibration love it. It’s one more way to pry into others’ faults and get a secret pleasure from their failures.

31. They get defensive

Defensiveness is a counterproductive response to criticism and conflict. Low vibration people get defensive when you call them out or point out their mistakes.

This reaction doesn’t let them listen to constructive criticism and learn from their mistakes. As a result, they don’t evolve. Instead, they quibble over your words and dwell on their hurt feelings.

32. They hold grudges

With this kind of attitude, it makes sense why a low vibrational person is easy to hold grudges against others. Sometimes this can last for weeks, months, and even years!

Their negativity and self-absorption don’t let them forgive other people and let the situation go. They dwell on their feelings of resentment and prefer to give the other person the silent treatment rather than talk the issue out.

33. They see the bad in people and overlook the good

It’s difficult to look at life and people from a positive perspective when you have low vibration. You always notice flaws in those around you and totally neglect their good qualities.

That’s why you tend to have a low opinion about people in general. You are just unable to see and appreciate their positive sides.

34. They nitpick

Nitpicking is another sign of low vibrational energy. You start pointless arguments and waste your life quibbling over insignificant stuff.

As we said above, low vibration makes a person thrive on negativity and look for faults in other people. That’s the reason they nitpick and annoy others with their petty criticisms.

35. They self-sabotage

Low vibration people are the prisoners of their own minds. Since they overthink things and create problems out of nothing, they often self-sabotage, whether it comes to their career or love life. It’s like they are suffering when things go right, so they ruin every opportunity to achieve success and find happiness.

Do you have low vibration people in your social circle? If a friend of yours is chronically annoyed, sad, or unlucky, ask yourself whether hanging out with them is a good idea. Such people can only drag you into their misery and poison you with their negativity.
