Are you attracting the same kind of person in every relationship?

A few months ago I created quite a buzz on my weekly Enlightening Life LIVE broadcast when I announced that I noticed a strong pattern in all of my relationships with men – whether in marriage, dating, or friendships, they all had one significant factor in common.

Every one of them had a difficult relationship with their mother. Some of the mothers were even physical, verbally, and emotionally abusive and those were the men I was particularly attracted to. (I am not kidding)

I’m being serious here – in a room full of men I would be attracted to the one who had suffered the most emotional damage from his mother.

I wonder why….. Now you know I do not have the greatest relationship with my mother and she has been quite a challenge in my life. So why would I choose people who had similar mother experiences?

Because it’s part of my Love Karma and the healing I want to help them with as I also heal my own issues. It’s very complicated but it is why we choose friends, partners, and romantic relationships that just do not work out in a great way and that cause us nothing but trauma and heartache.

If you think about it, do you do this too? Do a little inventory of your relationships so far and pay special attention to the people you have become strongly emotionally attached to, that you would call your ‘soul mate’ or that you were in a long term relationship with.

What common characteristic do they all have and how is that related to something in your life that is part of your current life or past, or a past life energy (if you are aware of them)?

I guarantee you will find a link between them and it will also let you know why these relationships are so difficult.
