The Scorpio Full Moon lights up our evening sky on May 1st, and is the first of two Full Moons we will experience this month.
The following Full Moon, a Blue Moon in Sagittarius, will fall at the end of the month on the 31st.
Having two Full Moons in the same calendar month indicates a season of release, letting go, and culmination.
We are being called to wrap up loose ends and bring things to completion, particularly things we have been working on since the end of last year.

The Scorpio Full Moon is traditionally a sacred one that is said to thin the veil and deepen our intuitive insights. It aligns with the Wesak festival, which is celebrated in many Asian countries to honor the birth, enlightenment, and death of Buddha.
The Scorpio Full Moon is often linked to the cycles of death and rebirth, and reminds us that all that falls away, all that is lost, comes around new again.
Mother Nature mimics this in the season we are in, too. Whether we live in the Northern or Southern Hemisphere, we can see the death or rebirth of nature in action.
