The Blue Checkmarked ‘Trump and Vance’ on X
Interesting Native Facts (w/Commentary)
Suzi: I imagine that every one of us has some kind of feeling about anything to do with American Indians. The fact that their systematic social and cultural destruction doesn’t get the attention that the Holocaust has gotten speaks untold and shameful volumes about the human collective.
Then again, do we really have conquest and murder naturally in our hearts? Did it seem right and fair at some point in our evolution to show up on foreign shores and just claim everything there, including any and all life forms already in existence? Seems weird to me. What do you reckon were the forces at work there? Purely human?
It makes me wonder how it would have gone if I’d been writing the story. That one requires contemplation, but what an interesting notion…
How would I rewrite that timeline?
The truth for me about embracing American Indian culture and spirituality comes down to this: Many years ago, decades, even…I read a magazine article titled, A Theft of Spirit.*
I would have to find it again to recount exactly what was in it beyond that it gave me the lasting impression that our Indian brothers and sisters don’t care to be sharing their spiritual beliefs and practices outside of their communities. It went straight to my heart to read that, to feel it and know it…not welcome here.
To describe it as a loss is somewhat of an understatement, but I was not born this time around with indigenous blood. The thing is though, we may all have an old indigenous soul inside of us somewhere. The One who knows, at the energetic level, the core of all spiritual practices and traditions.
It’s already inside of us. With that knowing, I found peace with pursuing my own, unique spirituality. One that’s been formed by gathering up the various, different color threads that make up my own, cross-cultural, spiritual tapestry. Perhaps for many of us white, round-eyes people, our journey on the wheel has included multiple embodiments living close to the Earth. Those threads are woven in as well, like tree roots intertwining deep into the soil of our soul.
Not to forget about the silvery threads deep within the tapestry that have all of our galactic and etheric knowledge, skills and experience.
And who can be knowing? Might some of the most murderous cavalry soldiers have come back as Indians, only to live in the conditions imposed by their own selves a generation or two back?
In any case, I believe that there is a great deal more to this post and its meaning than what may meet the eye. Among so many other things that need to be set right, fixing this relationship will be a most welcome blessing, indeed.

- Native American Indians serve in the U.S. military at the highest per capita rate of any race in our country, including white Americans.
- Native American Indians created the first constitutional republic on American soil in the form of The Great Law of Peace.
- Benjamin Franklin was inspired by this and other Native forms of governance in his Albany Plan, which some historians speculate led to our own Constitution.
- During WW2, Navajo Code Talkers sent up to 800 coded messages per day, which were considered the only unbroken code in modern military history. These brave soldiers have largely been credited with turning the tide of WW2.
- The first Native American Indian congressman and senator were both republicans.
- Meanwhile, Democrats denied Native Americans the right vote. And it was Republicans who reinstated it.
- Democrats orchestrated and led brutal western expansion efforts that murdered countless Native American Indians, destroying entire cultures, in the pursuit of greed.
- Federal Government orchestrated the Federal Indian Boarding School program which seized Native American Indian children from their homes, sending them sometimes hundreds of miles away, to often be abused or sexually assaulted. The program didn’t end until the 1970s.
- Federal Government (via IHS) also horrifyingly sterilized unsuspecting Native American women throughout the same time period.
- Democrats built toxic uranium mines on Navajo Nation, creating one of the worst environmental health disasters in US history, with awful, rare cancers, and they hid it for decades.
- While Democrats fought against Native American Civil Rights, Republicans fought for Native American tribal sovereignty rights via the Snyder Act.
- Due to legal decisions like this, Supreme Court justice Neil Gorsuch has been one of the most powerful voices for Native American rights and tribal sovereignty in supreme court history.
- Countless Native American households do not have running water, including up to 30% on the Navajo nation.
- Extreme bureaucratic failure (and Democrat apathy) has led reservation communities to some of the worst critical infrastructure issues in our nation, and we have not honored our treaties to help them with this.
- Due to federal leasing of land, Native Americans can often not obtain a bank loan to build property or businesses on their home, which has devastated their ability to pursue the American dream.
- Much like the misaligned federal VA hospitals that were struggling before Trump went and fixed them during his 45th presidency, Indian Health Service hospitals are even worse, with some of the lowest patient outcomes and physician vacancy rates in the world.
- Unfortunately, Native American Indians currently have the lowest life expectancy of any race in America, but we never hear about it, because they are largely a rural population
- There are 574 federally recognized tribes, and each have different customs, laws, DNA, demographic footprints, and cultural identities.
- And yet, as a large coalition, they have fiercely maintained their treaty obligations to the US government. Despite being abused and mistreated by an overreaching (but ineffective) federal government.
- For their loyalty to the US, we have not always honored our treaty rights to them.
- It’s time to help Native Americans build a better future for their tribes. One with less inflation, more jobs, better infrastructure, and more safety for their communities.
- One that honors our word, our treaties, and builds these communities to the greatness our First Americans deserve.
- They serve us, they fight for us and they saved the world’s ass during WW2. We owe it to Native Peoples.
