Clairtaction - Have you felt the touch of an angel...?

This morning at 3:00 am, I was awakened by a burst of puppy kisses. You know that full body wiggle, unbridled explosion of joy that dogs experience? That moment when they have bottled up so much love, they just can't contain it anymore? It was that kind of pure joy.

The sheer intensity of this love explosion awakened me in the pre-dawn hour. What made it even more surprising was the fact that my beloved puppy dog left her body almost 20 years ago. But this morning, her essence came through the ethers to express her ongoing love for me. Proof positive there is life after this life.

When I remembered this love burst later, I thought about the concept of Clairtaction, one of the lesser-known intuitive channels. Clairtaction is the ability to sense the touch of a spiritual being who is seeking to communicate from the other side. Through Clairtaction, we also have the ability to consciously send the sensation of touch to those who have crossed over and to people who are in their bodies now.

Clairtaction is a beautiful ability to cultivate so that you can feel the physical presence of someone who has crossed over. It’s also helpful to be able to send a sense of touch to people who are here now. For example, you may send a hug to a child when you are traveling or a soothing touch to a companion animal when you leave the house. It can be a beautiful and mutually reassuring way to express love and care.

To develop the skill of Clairtaction, think of a person or spiritual being to whom you would like to send the sensation of a loving or affirming touch. Set the intention to send the touch, and then imagine yourself experiencing the sensation of touching the other person or being. A simple way to begin is to send the sensation of a hug, holding hands, or a soft kiss.

Spend a few moments imagining the feeling of the touch. Then feel it being received by the other person or animal. As soon as you intend for the touch to be sent, know that it is so. When you feel complete, take a deep breath in followed by a gentle exhale, and then let go of the connection.

If you wish, you may do this practice on your own, or you can ask another person to participate by sending touch back and forth.

You may also activate the ability to receive information from spiritual beings. In this case, think of a celestial being such as a spiritual teacher, spiritual guide or archangel, or loved one who has crossed over. Request that this being make contact with you, and that you have conscious recollection of the connection. You may do this in meditation or as you go to sleep at night. With quiet certainty, affirm that you are open to receiving the touch, and that it will take place in right time.

As with any new skill, allow yourself time to develop this ability. Clairtaction is a very beautiful way to connect with another person or spiritual being, especially when you are unable to be physically together. All you have to do is set the intention, send the sensation, and know that it will be received instantly.
