Thought Adjuster: “Human beings have achieved a certain level of spiritual progress when they realize that their priority is to achieve likeness to the Father, self-mastery, and the progressive perfection of being. The wisdom they have gained does not make them better than their siblings but does allow them to live life with significant ease and experience true and deep satisfaction. You can live and work in the world while at the same time you are preparing for a life in eternity. You can do your material work with such an investment of love that it becomes an endeavor of spiritual service, promoting your advancement and that of your peers toward perfection and progress.
The true needs of material life are never in contradiction with the spiritual needs. In fact, those who endeavor to satisfy their spiritual needs are much more successful in the task of solving their material difficulties and facing their struggle for survival in the world with more resources and advantages than those who only concern themselves with material things.
The life of human beings does not have to be difficult to promote spiritual advancement. It is true that many arrive at the gates of spirituality through many tribulations, but this is only because they have not allowed their souls to awaken to higher truths through their desire to find God. A more spiritual life does not magically solve all the problems of life but does provide a more comprehensive point of view that helps you see your problems from a more informed perspective. Those who find problems in their lives after awakening to the realities of spirit are less affected and have more possibilities to resolve them than those who face similar problems from a purely material perspective.
You can start now to live your life as a spiritual being who lives in a material world, because this is what your really are. Focus most of your attention, your efforts, and your resources – of your body, your intellect, and your soul – in the achievement of the things that are important in your life, those things that have eternal value and will not perish with your material body. By living life in this way, you will find that everything you need to live in this world you already possess and you will lack nothing that is necessary for your progress towards the achievement of your purpose in life.”
